So it was 20 odd million 17-18 on our return to Premier league after loss the previous season in Championship. Its safe to assume (covid aside) that they grew after that. Its why him gambling keeping Bruce and hoping we stay up seems such a bizarre decision like he hasn't learned from very recent history.

Deloitte has us at plus 40 million or so for following season. Couldnt get link to work.
So a 20 odd million loss over the two seasons.

What about the other 11 seasons?

I genuinely think we'll get butchered today.
I can see Tottenham running riot and scoring 6 or 7 past us.

We are going down, no doubt about it.

I don't have any optimism left for us.
I'm of the mind that Ashley sees a better selling solution for us if we are relegated.

I think we are in for a dismal end to the season with some sickening big defeats.

Spurs going for a fourth place at close of play Monday. Newcastle seemingly incapable of fighting for top flight survival.
Spurs in fourth place, Newcastle in bottom three before my lamb leg comes out of the oven.
Happy Easter.

If we're not promoted for another 53 years, we've spent 86 years in the top flight and 34 outside of it.

We have had 86 in top flight, 31 in 2nd tier, 4 in 3rd tier

The Mags on the other hand have had 89 in the top flight and 29 in the 2nd tier, 1 in the 3rd tier (non-league in fact, by choice)

@Cloughie suggests the Championship is our natural home at 25.6% of seasons, to their virtually identical 24.2%. A Mag struggling with the facts - what a surprise.

Throw in that they played third tier football 95 years before us and that we never played anything but top flight football until four years after the last time they won a major competitive trophy and it reminds me why Newcastle United FC once said in an official statement that "The Newcastle public do not deserve to be catered for as far as professional football is concerned"

Fake news Shirley.

Fake news Shirley.

I remember a few SAFC and Mags on a train heading North after a game, the subject of trophies came round and this younger Mag brought up the fact they had four league titles, he point blank refused to believe we had six, even thought his mates were winding him up when they told him it was true, he had to look it up and his face crumpled!
