No posts from the cat botherer since Thusday, you start posting on Friday.

Pure coincidence of course Ian.
As I've said, I'm happy to put money on the line that I'm not him.

You're going to feel pretty daft when you realise that.

I’ve never gotten over how much Bruce destroyed our squad in 2011. Partly because the potential and momentum was there for all to see but mostly because of how he tried to revise history about his time here.

With that all said I can’t enjoy watching him get the kind of abuse he pretended he got while here from his own people - even though there’s part of me that hopes it means he now sees how wrong he was. The level of stuff getting posted on social media from some is shocking. Hes gone from being a FGB or a cabbage to having people wish him dead or talking about his dead parents etc. He’s a human being at the end of the day.

2 wins out of the last 20 games. It just goes to show how shit it is being a fan of a mediocre premier league team.
Aye, it's much better being in league one and winning a few games 🤦‍♀️
Thats why its completely soul destroying bobbling around 13-17th year after year
I reckon it's worse getting relegated and then getting relegated again, then spending at least 3 seasons in league one.

Maybe it's just me like 🤷‍♂️

Anyone listen to the under the cosh podcast with rowan vine? He was scathing of Bruce and his man management, said basically has no idea and just chucks a team out and hopes for the best

I've always been of the opinion that there are very few genuinely good managers. Most of the rest are just ex-players who, in some cases, have been lucky enough to have it work out once for them, which is enough to keep them on the merry-go-round. Rarely do you see a manager go in and do a really, undeniably good job at 3 clubs. For starters the fact that almost all are ex-players means it's a limited pool. Having played the game will definitely be a slight benefit, but the skill set required to be a good left back, centre back, striker or whatever is totally different from that required to be a manager. It's no surprise that, although loads of players fancy a crack at it, not many are very good. Bruce has been bobbling about being mediocre at best for years and somehow keeps getting jobs. If you were a PL owner and wanted your club to progress, you just wouldn't touch him, you'd be better off taking a punt on someone unheard of tbh

This should go down well
As Bruce isn't black or from an ethnic minority then this 'abuse' isn't in mainstream media, even though some is no doubt shocking. Yet is some of the abuse he's getting not as bad because it isn't referencing to his skin colour, though it references his weight for example?

Abuse like that, no matter what skin colour is a problem and as Downie says, it's a human being at the end of it. Social media platforms, along with internet providers need to do more about some of the levels it gets to. The problem is a lot of people do it, as we even 'take the piss' on here about him. Or we speak some kind of abuse (no matter how lame) about others (I know I've done it and probably will) so where do you draw the line?
Extended revised version below as I missed the 5 min edit
As Bruce isn't black or from an ethnic minority then this 'abuse' isn't in mainstream media, even though some is no doubt shocking. Yet is some of the abuse he's getting not as bad because it isn't referencing to his skin colour, though it references his weight for example? If the idiots who do refer to colour, still gave abuse but didn't refer to any colour then would it be 'racist' as they're saying it because someone is black? I'm not saying racists don't exist, it's just people refer to something and skin colour is one of them, as is hair such as ginger, fat obviously or even ugliness.

It's all abuse at the end of the day and some abuse is beyond belief. No matter what skin colour, it's a problem that seems to be getting worse as it's too easy to say something to 100's, 1,000's of others and as Downie says, it's a human being at the end of it. Social media platforms, along with internet providers need to do more about some of the levels it gets to. The problem is a lot of people do it, as we even 'take the piss' on here about him. I'm aware, and I think this is an instance of the PL being on the right side of the law, the wrong side of the argument. The Burnley one is a particularly egregious instance, and I believe there are conflicts of interest aplenty with that one.

I've already stated my objection to the Saudi takeover, no argument from me on rejecting that one. Where I do take issue is the fact an Ashley, an Oyston, a Donald, can bleed a club and face no consequences. If you can't catch them coming through the gate then you should at least be able to do something thereafter. They have mechanisms like this in US Sports, but that's a different situation.

Rowan Vine -no great shakes, I know- is the latest one. He really is a coward of a man.

You cannot put Ashley in the same sentence as the other 2. The other 2 really did bleed the clubs dry. Where has Ashley done that? Hes done nothing but invest in the club but you dullards think you are hard done by

Should be a cracking last game of the season mags v Fulham
Good chance Maja or Mitrovic could put the final nail in the coffin

Naaaa, they won't like.
Dyche will have it sussed.
Just hope Arsenal in contention for Uefa spot or cud be soft game.
They'll beat Sheff utd
Not convinced they'll beat Sheff Utd, who will be relegated by then
We can dream but I honestly think the mags will not be relegated. They are to jammy and will pick up points.
Fulham were utter dross against Leeds on Friday, if they can't up there game soon, you might be right
I can't see the Mags picking up any more than 6 points, I suspect it will all come down to the last game of the season

Not playing like they did against Brighton they won't nor will they if Sheffield play like they did versus Chelsea.
Not a forgone conclusion by any means.

Spot on mate. Very few managers actually win anything, they’re just trying to stabilise clubs and get them as high as possible. I’ve always said it’s the best job in the world - sign a multi-million pound contract, fail after a season or two, get a big pay-off then repeat when the next club comes in for you.
