Why do you place so much importance on net spend 🤣

How much is Liverpool's net spend?

Your one of those idiots who think free transfers are free

Net spend man
Liverpool's net spend £25M a season last 14 years average ........not to bad and won a few cups

We will struggle but just stay up so at least 2 years before you play us.......you've still got to get out of 3rd division then the 2nd division which will cost your Boy wonder a fair chunk of cash
Boy Wonder. Jealous tantrum it seems.

He's that loaded it makes think "boy I wonder why he didn't do a deal with fat Mike"

Probably seen the way yous lot go on over the years . Chalk and cheese.

Ok then who has made more money on selling players since 07/08 season
Then take one away from the other for net spend its not hard

i see you have conveniently chosen 2007 to start. any particular reason?
maybe its the fact it was the season we got promoted so had to spend an absolute fortune to assemble a squad to stay in the league. a squad you already had having spent that money in years before that when player costs were actually less than we had to spend.
or maybe its just a fluke you chose that year.

Massive game tonight for them.
A real chance to put daylight between them and Fulham and Brighton v one man band team Aston Villa who are again missing Grealish. Villa should still have enough to get a point minimum, but got a bad feelin about this one. Think skunks will nick it 2-1.
Just as many of your lot on the NUFC forums
Yeah right, you aint got any man, nee one in the cartoon army clivvor enough to set one up ffs.

Very true but it appears those days are over. How many of Rafa's buys will they make a profit on? They are mostly championship players in my opinion.

My guess would be because that's the year that Ashley bought Newcastle.

Liverpool’s turnover is around £300m higher than Newcastle’s, yet their average net spend is only £15m higher than Newcastle’s.

How do you explain that, are Liverpool’s owners taking money out of the club as well? I think you need to realise that it’s very expensive to run a club and it’s not all down to just the transfer fees paid.

Doesn't that point to poor ownership, poor planning and poor player and staff recruitment then on the part of Mike Ashley?

Anybody who user transfermarkt as a credible source of data is a f***ing simpleton
Ned - rather than criticise feel free to knock up an alternative. Painstakingly going through press releases, approximating "undisclosed". It's a decent approximation of actual signings and one that is accepted as a reputable data source in the industry.

Amortisation is a better way, but less easy for the man in the street to understand. Essentially fee over life of contract, ignoring any profit from player sales.

Sunderland -

Newcastle -

Us/Them:

2009 - 21.6/20
2010 - 26/12
2011 - 29/13
2012 - 23/13
2013 - 21/13
2014 - 27/20
2015 - 24/20
2016 - 30/28
2017 - 29/36

So Ned this is published accounting data which arrives at the same conclusion. Embarrassingly we (Sunderland) outspent the mags and ended up in L1. For Newcastle fans this is evidence on what an owner Ashley is - to keep you in the Premier league solely on the money you generate from TV/matchday/player sales and commercial and not run up huge debts is incredible.

Well done 10/10 for observation

I fully understand they have other costs....Liverpool/Chelsea/Man City/Utd/Spurs/Arsenal have all spent a fortune on ground improvements and new training facilities. Mike Ashley has spent absolutely fuck all on the ground and the new training ground plans were scrapped for a few tins of paint from B&Q last year

Its just your constant obsession that that Fat Mike is the bees knees of owners, do you not feel Ellis Short and the Oxford Barrow Boy should be on the same high pedestal as Fat Mike they would make the a great dream team.

Still waiting for you to name these so called forums of yours that our fans go on?
Your clubs a mess. Nobody wants it.
One bong eyed Queen of failed takeovers wants it.

However she is better at tyre kicking and wasting the high court’s time than finalising a takeover.
