I didn't say it 'was a great performance'. Everton were poor against us and we played well. They were poor against Fulham and Fulham played well.

Fulham faced an Everton team without Mina, Keane, DCL, Iwobi and Pickford (dunno if the last 2 are a detriment or not). So that's their first choice CB pair, top goal scorer, Iwobi and Pickford. In addition several (6) of the Everton team had played a grueling Cup game 4 days prior.
The Everton back four that lined up against Man Utd is their first choice:

Digne - Holgate Keane- Godfrey

The back four from the 56th minute against Fulham was just that. Mina has been poor and shouldn't be anywhere near the team. Once toffees take their blue tinted spectacles off they would say the same about Coleman. This means the back for Newcastle faced to be the weak one. Some toffees have been saying Iwobi has been one of the best players so he was a loss.

That's surprising because Mina has played more than the others? Sorry, Keane's played more at CB, but nobody else.

I think a lot of people have got over-excited because of Fulham's unlikely (but deserved) win and our subsequent loss. It's tighter than it should be, but they're still 7pts shy of us, and have only won 3 times all season.
FiveThirtyEight.com give us a 30% of relegation, Fulham 55%. Bookies make WBA, Sheffield and Fulham favourites for the drop.

That's about right i reckon

Those % figures could be very interesting on Sunday evening following Fulham’s games against Burnley and Sheff Utd this week and your game away at Man Utd.

The very idea that Newcastle will be safe irrespective of what Fulham do
Some arrogant mag f..ks on here today mind.
I would have thought the real possibility of being just one point clear of Fulham before playing Man U on Sunday would have registered by now.
Apparently not.

We'll likely lose at Man Utd and Fulham may well win both of those games (I personally doubt it as both those teams are in better form than Fulham), and they'd still not overtake us in the league.

Then they've games against; Palace, Liverpool, Man City, and Leeds.
We've got games against; Wolves, West Brom, Villa and Brighton.

You'd expect us to pick up more points from our 4 fixtures than they do from theirs.

If we somehow stumble in to the Championship, do we really want them anywhere near us ?
Let's say they do go down, they will lose ASM, and, possibly Wilson and Lascelles ( wudnt bank on it as many teams will struggle to pay what the mags pay), but what they have left as a foundation, added to what they buy with sales, means they will be a strong Ch'ship team.
Meanwhile, IF we go up, most of the squad is out of contract (and not up to the job of stepping up), meaning a wholesale changeover in staff. There'll be no big money signings and our aim will be mid table at best.
The prospect of facing them in our fragile piss weak state would fill me with dread.
If we don't go up, yeah by all means it wud be good to see the mags down again, but if we do go up, I hope they survive by the skin of their teeth but giving all their fans who are arseholes like wolfwanker the sleepless nights and palpitations they deserve.

Give your head a shake! You want them to stay up, just in case we meet them in the league and get beat? We fell like a stone in the Championship and were relegated by Burton.....I see huge similarities between us and then. I'd love to be playing them 2021/22.

You mean the intertotocontinental fan group...

State of these, not an Oz of calf muscle between them

Christ I forgot about when they were writing to members of fkn parliament for “Ansaz”

Brexit and the COVID pandemic were certainly put in to perspective by Newcastles horrendous trials and tribulations in the Premier League under Mike Ashley. Quite why the Government didn't prioritise the issue forthwith is baffling, and little short of a disgrace.
