Think they'd be in trouble most other seasons but the bottom 3 are extremely poor this season, only 2 and 3 wins all season.

Think 32 points will be enough this season to stay up.

The bottom 3 are so poor, they won’t be sucked in whatsoever.
Had they dropped points as expected to Everton and whoever else it was recently, then they’d be worried.
Luckily for them, the bottom 3 are absolutely awful
Did you see the Fulham game yesterday? They were far from awful.
Steve Bruce is a great manager doing a great job, to want anything better than a relegation battle is fans showing unrealistic expectations.
Correct😂😂

I can remember mags pre keegan , unless my memory is jaded they were nowhere near as deluded as this current lot are .

Correct. Most of us from that generation realise our place in the scheme of things. We realise we had a purple patch (yes i know we won SFA) during which it was great.
We don't expect success.
We don't, for example, expect Jose as manager. If we somehow could attract that caliber of manager we would be delighted rather than suggest he is not good enough.
Many of us are also sensible enough to know that if Ashley sells there is no guarantee that the new owner would be better. Ashley has gotten a lot wrong, i doubt anyone would argue that point. That said we were on the verge of financial ruin. We are not now. He has spent a lot of money. It is not his fault that some of it had been squandered.

Fwiw, I think it will eventually happen but if anyone is going to balls it up other than us, its them.

They cudnt even win owt when they were the "Chelsea" of the 90s ffs with Hall/Shepherd squillions. Yes they will tell anyone that will listen that they had a good time and saw some exciting football, but the bottom line is, they won FA.
Why will it be different this time around ?
Fun ahead either way imho.

To offer some balance here - the mags are a premier league club - a lot of top managers want to manage in the Premier League.

I know Jose has managed more successful clubs previously but so has Rafa.

It’s not impossible is all I’m saying.

Unlikely but not impossible.

They’ll be fine. Sheff Utd, Fulham and WBA all need to go on champions league form to get out of it

Virtually every time I watch Fulham, I am impressed. If any one of the bottom 3 is going to escape , it's them. And now they've got Josh to finish things off which Mitrovic hadn't been doing.

BSA's 3 mill survival bonus has gone imho. He needed to sign a Kone as that defence is poor tho the centre forward looks dangerous. Maitland Miles is decent, but got no idea about the Spanish guy.

Sheff United have also looked decent most times I've watched them. They always have a go, but they should have gone for a recognised striker instead of Brewster. They are gone but will certainly surpass 15 and 19 points.

To me, the Mags survival hinges on ASM. If he gets crocked, they are fooked big time. Was excellent v Soton and nearly always looks a handful. Wilson is a big miss for the next 6/8 games, but with ASM, they always have a chance of creating something.

Could be tighter than we think, but if we somehow managed to stumble in to the Champeenship, do we really want to play them in our weak as piss state hmmmm ??
Southampton were down to the bare bones in that game, lots of injuries.
They weren't like, virtually full strength as mostvrll recovered after missing previous game.

If someone like Jose goes to the mags it's because he's been sacked from his last 3 or 4 jobs and is on the decline. No different to when Rafa went there and what did he achieve in the prem with them? One relegation and a relegation battle.

They're too obsessed with a name, any name as long as it makes them look like they're playing with the big boys.

Thick as a whale omelette!!!

“Mourinho for me has a connection to the club through Sir Bobby. For me, I couldn’t look past him if we had the choice.”

“Mourinho has to manage us sometime before he retires because of his connection with sir Bobby it's literally written in the stars”

“It’s his destiny mate. He gets Newcastle because of ‘Mr Robson’. It will happen before he retires IMO and it will be the best thing he’s ever done”

...... and “I’d rather have Klopp, since a lot Liverpool fans are shouting for his head.”

They are a very special breed.
They must be joking. Cannot be serious
Hope the Betty Ford clinic has spare beds for these whoppers!!
Safety nets under the tyne bridge

The likelihood is Jose will know how Sir Bobby was treated at the end of his reign and castigated by their deluded following. He sought football solace at the Stadium of Light after he left SJP and was well treated when visiting Sunderland, a true football city.
Those of a black and white persuasion seem to think this never happened and now revere him !!
