His diving and play acting is infuriating but he was class yesterday. Especially when down to 9 he covered every blade of grass. Took his second goal well. He’s been really good this season like.

Theyre roughly where they should be with their squad, under Bruce and with a financially sensible owner. Under a proper manager and with an injury free run they could maybe scrape 11-12th with that squad. Long may Bruce reign. I don’t like the look of this new touchline arm waver at all mind, he looks like he knows what he’s doing.
They should look at us and say a prayer of thank you.

Like Rafa who finished 10 & 13 in the two full season of Premier management then. A proper manager as you say.

Rafa = Premiership for Newcastle 1.19 points per game which averages out as 45 points per season (and a relegation)
Bruce = Premiership for Newcastle 1.13 points per game which averages out as 43 points per season for Newcastle

Its a great analogy. I live in Gateshead and know plenty of Mags, some ggod friends who in general know their football but with Rafa its like talking to different people. As I say they both have broadly an identical record in this league over a lot of games each. They argue that Benitez didn't have the likes of Wilson and ASM which is true but he did have Perez and Rondon for a full season when Bruce had to make do with Joelinton uo front for a full year. Despite Joelinton being shite and Bruce having nothing to do with his signing the 40 million spent on him would be used as an argument against Bruce - look at the funds hes got compared to Rafa?. What would you prefer Rondon and Perez or Joelinton? Which manager has the best deal? I havent heard him complain about Ashley for months. All previous failings before Bruce were down to the players or Ashley - now its Bruce.
