I never liked Benitez's football. I don't like Bruce's football. Both managers stifle flair players and attack minded players. I actually thought Bruce was going to allow us to play some football but it seems he decided to go backwards and cautious.

I'm wondering if they all just read from a script.

Many footy manager's start with high ideals and principles but they usually end up the same way.

Sooner or later they feel so threatened by a single defeat that they'd rather avoid that scenario at any cost.

I seem to recall reading some psychology diatribe that the single defeat can become such an issue because it can lead to the dreaded 2nd consecutive defeat followed by the natural progression to the sack.

What old cushion ffyass diz now is beyond the wit of man but at least he's been in this situation once or twice before.
 
I see Fulham made 8 changes today and it looks like they're bowing out of the FA Cup to Burnley with a whimper.
Saving themselves and condemning the mags to Championship football clearly the agenda.

The pub league that is the champo is looming large again. Should still have more than enough to piss it again like and I would take going down if we got a half decent owner
