The fine city is going to lose their beloved Icern 🙄 Newcastle United as they know and love it !! For fuck’s sake what a bunch of wailing fannies

They're gannin' doon. Surprised this info doesn't have a thread on it's own.

There's one worse team and that's Sheff Utd. I would have said West Brom but we know BSA will keep them up.

It's the Mags + Sheff Utd + Brighton for me.
You think that 3 out of the current bottom 4 will stay up ?. if so you should back yourself big time

Sunderland had scouts over several times to watch Luis suarez at ajax and antoine greizeman at sociadad. Never in a milion years were we going to sign them but there was pretty much a scout from every Premier league team in attendance too at the time
Arry was interested in both of them, and Messi when he was 3 years old,but Messi had made his mind up that Barca were the team he wanted to play for.

I remember seeing a lad with grey hair and he was a little bit plump outside the sol once so I followed him to his car and shouted “Steve” and he didn’t look so I shouted “mr Bruce Steve Bruce” and when the bloke turned around it wasn’t him.

See, this is my issue with Bruce; he never takes responsibility.

If he'd just left the club and said 'You know what it wasn't working, it was for the best' I could think fair enough. Instead, he throws the fans under the bus claiming his 'Geordie roots' are the problem. Funny how last week he said 'If I was a fan I'd be disappointed' after the Sheffield United game. For someone that played at the highest level he's got painfully thin skin, and he can't ever admit that maybe, just maybe, it's him that's causing things to go south at a club he manages.

I can only imagine his Geordie roots will be the problem here - and that expectation was simply too high.

Ya spot on, like.

That photo of Ashley in the restaurant cavorting in his boxer shorts showed all his sports direct managers doing the same - they are all fat wide boys just like him.

Lee Charnley looks exactly like him and is apparently called mini Mike.

Aside from Benitez, his last appointments have been Bruce, McLaren, Pardew - English blokes his age who are full of shit and probably enjoy a pint or a trip to the casino (Pardew). He offered pint of wine drinker Allardyce the job before Bruce (according to Allardyce he did anyway).

Ashley appoints managers who are exactly like himself - if he can imagine himself in the pub with then they’ve a good chance of the job. Indeed he appointed Joe Kinnear after meeting him in a pub iirc.

Benitez is an obvious exception, so nothing is set in stone, but I don’t think he’ll go for Howe. Pulis until the end of the season is more likely, Mark Hughes another possibility imo. It certainly won’t be Arsene f***ing Wenger.

Like Parky. That went well

They want Wenger short term now. He's always loved the club....because of the amazing fans...IIRC 😁😁😁😁😁
Is this Paul Patterson a kid? Even my 14 year old has some idea of the economics of football. According to this - - Wenger was on EUR 20.5m p.a.. I think Bruce is on something like GBP1m? Wenger wouldn't touch the mags for fear of it staining is record and also the infrastructure is shocking.

The best bit about that article is his belief that the players are good enough for "upper mid table" dispite the fact that at no point this season have they shown any signs of that.

You can blame Bruce for tactics and not winning matches. You cant blame him when Matt Longstaff cant pass a ball 10 feet, Joelinton is falling over or Shelvey not looking interested.

Even under their managerial god Rafa (with arguably a better squad) they have been nowhere near looking like an "upper middle" table side
