It's anything but. The rivalry and hatred between the 2 clubs is as intense as its ever been. The delight they currently feel at our position would be replicated if it was them. Remember the humour when they lost to Burton.

I work in Newcastle centre and there's a lad at work who has a poster of Picford lying on the ground with the caption 'Newcastle 2 - 0 Pickford'. Find it a bit odd personally as hes in his 40s.

.. Got a boring watsapp from one, I have the displeasure of being related to, with a pic about the need to social distance two leauges apart.. Just replied saying its ok we've no chance of catching the 'wanting murderous, torturous tyrants to own our club' disease. Needless to say he hasn't replied..
 
Having watched the match in the centre of Newcastle yesterday I can confirm we are still well and truly the centre of their world.

I absolutely hate the derbies, fair enough it's class when we win but the thoughts of playing them and getting beat makes me feel ill. I'd be happy never to play them again.
 
Let them get their digs in. It’s been so long since we’ve tasted defeat against them I’ve genuinely forgotten what it feels like. I was a young teenager the last time they beat us
 
Have they got anything funny? 24 hours later and I'm still waiting for the funnies to come.

There must be some great material they can throw at us but all I've had so far is a picture of badly-dressed bloke with the caption 'League Onesie'. Slightly amusing but already 3 years overdue.

Surely they've got better comedy than just that?
