I’ll try to keep it simple for you. Your current wage bill is around the £100m mark, probably just under. Almiron, Maxim and Joe Linton alone cost over £100m in transfer fees on top of the salaries. The club also has other overheads to pay on a regular basis.

Then you need to take into account that the players bought by your hero Rafa, have little or no resale value, then you may understand what’s happened to the money.
