Disgraceful if true. I dislike the bloke even more now.

He's an absolute waster man, the kind of bloke who I think will say one thing to your face and then slag you off behind your back. To think he repeatedly used the excuse that he was hounded out for his geordie roots instead of the real reason in that his team was a shambles the way he was managing them was taking is down. A marriage made in heaven, lets enjoy watching them tear themselves apart.

As much as I'd love them to go down. Realistically it won't be a good thing for us. Ashley would spend heavily in the championship, and get back up at the first attempt.
Its better for us if they stay in the Premier league. They will always languish around the bottom 8. He only spends enough to just keep them up.
He uses the as a marketing tool for his business, so as long as he's there its keeping a sugar daddy away from buying them, and spending shit loads on decent players. Long may he reign is what I say.....

exactly this, be careful what we wish for .
If they go down, crowds back in next season ,be getting full houses as they are winning , ashley will throw money at manager same as did to benitez to get them back up .

I hope they go down...then go down again. Show the deluded twats what badly off is.

Won't happen unfortunately. The bottom 3 are Gash and don't carry their luck. Murdering scum loving bastards

Bruce continues to be an absolute embarrassment wherever he is. I can sort of understand banning a journalist if they’re reporting lies. But the fact he’s hunting down a mole suggests the story was bang on accurate. Yet again blaming others before getting his own house in order.

long may his reign continue

I'm not so sure. Normally I would agree, but....

There arent many saleable assets in that side. Darlow, Dubravka probably, then maybe some low order premiership team might take a punt on St. Maximin or Wilson, but thats pretty much it. Lets not forget that clubs haven't got the money flaoting around as usual, and Ashleys other businesses will have taken a Covid hit, Ashley may have other priorities than buying a Joelinton or two..
I cant see many clubs spending big this summer in any division. Newcastle are no exception. Is that side good enough on its own to bounce back up? Maybe.

Fair point mate.
But Darlow and Dubravka will fetch decent money. Saint maximin will go for silly money t(hey have a proven tack record of getting sky high prices for their best players) Wilson will go for big money too. He's been outstanding for them ! He's single handedly kept them out of the bottom 3 ! And has propped them up with his goals. Which is why if they did get him back soon, they look likely to drop

Will they fetch good money though? I dont think this is a summer of big spending or clubs taking a chance on players..

Wilson will want away if they go down, and Newcastle might want his wages off the books. But I dont think he will command big money like he would have done a few seasons ago. St. Maximin will go, (but nowhere near as high up the league as the mags think) but again, they wont get the kinda money they would have done a few years ago.

I doubt they will sell both keepers. One probably.

This summer is going to be interesting. As they like to remind us its all about "Net Spend". Ashley spends big when he receives big, and I can't see there being huge money thrown about for mediocre players, so hes not going to get much in.

They only got 52k because benitez was there. Wont happen again.

This. Though if they go down they'll get big money for Saint Max. Spurs/Everton will probs pay £40 odd million for him. They'd probably get decent money for Almiron from a Spanish or Italian side. I think a lot of their current squad would be good enough in the championship. They have smashed it the last two times they've been down there. I think it all depends on who they get in as a manager.
