You don't get many on here disputing attendances what we dispute is the notion you think you are a big team because of the attendances. When in reality you are in a working class city with one football team so it is no surprise you have good crowds. Plus the population has grown since 2000. You started watching when they nearly had some success, though in the end (thank goodness) it amounted to some city breaks and tears. Had you have started watching Sunderland in 1997 you would have long given up. It is also a myth that you always sell out - rather than looking at averages look at lowest...that gives you a good idea of loyalty.Consistently the top 4 and top 5 best supported club in the country then over the last 120 years
