NUFC/Sportwashing

You're stuck down a hole, you're helped out but it's a member of the KKK. Can you be happy that you're out of a hole, and be disgusted at who got you out?

Staveley and the Premier League have issued statements insisting the PIF are separate to the KSA.

That's bollocks too.

I hope the Newcastle fanbase learn not to be complicit in Sportswashing.

I mean, you weren't really stuck down a hole, were you? You're in the Premier League.

A better analogy would be that your shoelaces were undone, so you joined ISIS on the promise of Gucci slippers.

It's fuck all to do with us - this forum is becoming a Mag forum. It's just wall to wall Newcastle shite. We've got bigger fish to fry than worrying about what's happening up the road.

Appreciate the obvious moral quandaries that have been flagged up but this is zip that we can do as fans. Sure there's some legitimate concerns about who now has their fingers in the Premier League pie - but a lot of it just looks like envy over the supposed funds they're going to have masqueraded as "morals".

Please get this Mag crap off the board and just focus on what we've got to do. What will be will be with them.
As a country we're knackered We're asking the Chinese to build our nuclear power plants.

That's why I said, on the whole, rather than all.

I respect people who walked away from the club they grew up with on a moral point. Said earlier I know people who've walked from NUFC because of this. I know people who walked away from the club during Ashley's tenure, who've no intention on coming back now he's been replaced with this lot. I know fans who've walked from their clubs because the modern Premier League isn't the football they fell in love with. Started going to non-league instead.

But there's more who don't.

Like John Nicholson said, this is just the latest turd in the pool.
You can't respect people who walk away on a moral point, because you are clearly morally bankrupt. You have no real idea of what the word means. You are simply ignoring the morals and ethics if this whole thing.
Fine, but accept that in the eyes of ethical and morally aware people, you and your ilk are pariahs.
You were once the club everyone (outside of Sunderland) felt for and admired.
Now you are like something nasty they have stepped in.
Your choice, but accept the consequences.
You do not have a moral or ethical leg to stand on.

 I'm morally bankrupt? Give over, you don't know me at all.

All this personal abuse does, is show that you can't make a point without resorting to insults.

I didn't say Newcastle United were stuck down a hole. I used a really basic analogy to illustrate that it is possible to hold two ideas in your head at the same time. Which isn't unusual.

A big rainbow flag with Bin Salman getting homosexually involved with the prophet Muhammad on it should do the trick
I feel there is a fine line between being against the Saudi regime and its sharia laws, and just being straight out Islamophobic. There are gay Muslims, there are Muslims who support gay rights, and there are Muslims who are against the Saudi regime. This would be incredibly offensive and hurtful to all of those groups.

But, as I think you'll acknowledge, this is by far the biggest and most stinking turd yet. It's changed the hygiene rating of the pool considerably!

You've stated it's not your intention so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt but whenever this sort of thing is said by your fan base it just seems like false equivalence to downplay the severity of the Saudis atrocities. That's sports washing in action.

But it's not just the latest... it's the biggest, stinkiest, King Kong's fingeresque turd in the pool.

They are. if all the others are solid floaters that could be scooped out, this is bloodied diarrhea.

I'm not down playing what they've done, but I think we need to be honest with ourselves and admit that if the O&D test had a decent morality section the majority of the PL would be looking for new owners. Our owners would break the test, chop it up and mail it to it's widow, but the PL sold it's soul long ago. Our awful owners are just the latest and worst.
Can you cut all the bullshit out, are you happy about murderers owning your club or not?
No. I've said this countless times. This has been my position from the off.

Ffs, it's not an insult, it's an opinion based on your stance of supporting an abhorrent regime, either directly, or in your case indirectly.
What have you got for skin man, tissue paper?
Get used to this, because most of the football world will be accusing you of that, and an awful lot worse.
