NUFC/Sportwashing

PIF own NUFC and make all the decisions. Their minority holdings in various companies are passive investments. They aren't involved in the corporate decision making.

Disney are a publicly listed company. You can go and buy shares in them now today if you wanted. If you did, it wouldn't mean that Disney would become a Flat Earth Society member. Nor should others be expected to hold Disney to account for your Flat Earther Views. 1 share or 3% of shares in Disney, in reality you have no say.

But MBS is the chief decision maker in the Saudi government and in PIF. The PIF board are all Saudi government officials. The papers to authorise the signing of Jesse Lingaard and bombing of Yemeni school buses sit on the same desk. The castration of gays and participation in the Rainbow laces campaign could be getting signed off at the same time. That's sportswashing. Newcastle are now a tool of a dictator; you haven't got your club back. It's gone.

👏👏

Now you may have a point here, as Spurs is naturally associated with the Jewish community within London, infact worldwide.

I'm guessing you are well versed in the Israeli/Saudi relationships? This is why you've mentioned Tottenham?
Jewish mate of mine has reluctantly had to draw a line in the sand and step away from the club he's loved for 30yrs. Can't criticise him for that to be fair.

If you invest your money or spend your money in any of the set ups that are invested into by PIF then you have no moral high ground over any argument to do with anyone also invested or spending their money into the same thing no matter what the percentage difference is.

Most aye. I definitely didnt forget the most part.

I meant Newcastle fans would be protesting at Parliment  Maybe Spurs would too mind
See my previous reply to how I'd act if another club (apart from yourselves) were actually taken over by the same owners. I couldn't give a monkeys, lifes more than who has the richest owners.

Well me and my family are thinking differently, but I guess we've all worked within the Arabian countries over the years & have many Arabic friends.

Plus the ownership model clearly shows something, and recent changes within the region. But I fully understand his choice.

Im sure you wouldnt. My point was there'd be outrage and protests from your fans if it was one of the big 6. No doubt they'd include MBS' criminal record

just because you keep repeating this over and over doesn’t make it right. Did you even read his post or links others have posted to articles?

You are coming across as not caring about what they've done so long as the club is good. Is that the case, if so why not just say so?

Once again, completely missing the point - it has little, if anything to do with wealth, it's about the moral cognitive dissonance Newcastle supporters are contorting themselves with about being owned by the most reprehensible state the planet

By that measure, any evil dictator could buy a single share in all companies and no one could challenge them at all.

I'm sorry but you are objectively talking shite.

What would you expect to happen if it was you're club that had just been taken over, by the same owners?

I'm far from missing the point, look at my previous posts if you wish.

I'm not saying anything's right. I'm merely arguing points made about people taking moral high ground and spewing hatred over something which has happened and cannot be undone unless government intervention or FA or the city of Newcastle decides to shut down and close their eyes to the cathedral on the hill.

If none of that happens then Newcastle United will be playing football with a stadium full of fans and many more excitedly watching it on TV or listening on a radio, amid that hatred.

Subjective morals is what it is with most.

I hope those whose morals are so high do not use the investments of these people.
If Newcastle fans are expected to give up their club on moral grounds then all those with morals over this should cease to use anything that has been invested in by this group.
Does everyone do this?

If not it is massively hypocritical and is a clear indication of the subjectiveness I mentioned.
Sorry to bring this up but fair's fair.

Changing your moral stance to justify position is not subjective morality, it's sociopathy. You've been told more than once, and keep coming back with the same garbage. The moral equivalence you claim is a chimera.

Challenge them?
You're free to challenge in terms of voicing your opinion, just like you're doing with me.
The point being made is, if you invest in the very same thing as the evil dictators or simply evil people you despise, whether they have 0.00000001% stake or 100% stake. You become a hypocrite for taking the moral high ground because it is subjective.

I'd walk away. Sunderland supporter for over 50 years and I would walk away, not a doubt in my mind. I'd also get involved in any move to have them removed from my club if I could.

I'm not talking about yourself, I'm talking about you're clubs fans in general.

I admire the fact that you'd walk away, that would be hard to do from something that's undoubtedly in you're blood.

Look at all of the human rights activists all of a sudden...
A search of human rights issues on this message board will show you human rights issues are regularly discussed. Both football and non football related. This particular issue has garnered more attention than most because a nation state that regularly metes out medieval punishments to anyone that doesn’t agree with them, or is gay, or a woman. Bombs busses full of children, starves them and poisons their water supply, and isn’t averse to state sanctioned murder has just bought, what was once your football club.
But you won’t see all that when you’re under your stone with your head up your arse.
