The Mags are only coming on here to try to hone some kind of argument for when they get back to the real world.

And is it just me who's looking forward to Shearer squirming on MOTD. He's spent years pulling faces about Mike Ashley and how morally bankrupt he is. Now he'll have to find a way to worm his way out of this embarrassment.

My guess is that he'll go with,

'"I'm well aware of the issues, which need to be fully discussed, but a football show isn't the time or place'.

" No pie chart with evidence of flogging, imprisonment and murders Alan? "

Absolutely not.
If we got relegated to the non league under them I'd be gutted but my Newcastle United allegiance would never change.
If they destroyed the club I'd be devastated.
I'm not in control of anything that happens other than to decide for myself if I want to continue being a Newcastle fan and supporter and I choose to be a Newcastle fan and supporter no matter what. It's that simple.

I don't have to like what the regime stands for, I only have to like my football club and hope the players do the business.
As for Ashley, I backed him and still did up until this takeover. Why?
Because I understood his set up from the start to the finish. The good the bad and the ugly of his tenure.

PIF own NUFC and make all the decisions. Their minority holdings in various companies are passive investments. They aren't involved in the corporate decision making.

Disney are a publicly listed company. You can go and buy shares in them now today if you wanted. If you did, it wouldn't mean that Disney would become a Flat Earth Society member. Nor should others be expected to hold Disney to account for your Flat Earther Views. 1 share or 3% of shares in Disney, in reality you have no say.

But MBS is the chief decision maker in the Saudi government and in PIF. The PIF board are all Saudi government officials. The papers to authorise the signing of Jesse Lingaard and bombing of Yemeni school buses sit on the same desk. The castration of gays and participation in the Rainbow laces campaign could be getting signed off at the same time. That's sportswashing. Newcastle are now a tool of a dictator; you haven't got your club back. It's gone.
