Only downside is tickets will be like gold dust now will be 52k sell outs instantly like it used to be up until Bruce came. We need a bigger ground. Ideally get SJP to 70k but don’t think it can be done.
The only downside.

Your club has sold it soul like no other. You've become cheer leaders for human butchery and child killers. But the only downside is the capacity of your stadium.

Genuinely cracked in the head you like.

You just dont get it.
When Sunderland got to cup final vs Man City the club and it’s fans deserved to be there. When we enjoyed our night in Trafalgar Square we deserved to be there. We had earned the right.
When Newcastle got to a few cup finals 20 years ago they earned the right to be there. When you finished 2nd you earned the right be in the champions league. When you finished 5th under Pardew yous had earned the right to compete in Europe.
The Newcastle you support will never ‘earn’ anything ever again. They’ll have bought it.

Very fair post mind.

It's surely too late now. What exactly could they do? Force them to sell?
Haven't a clue mate.

This has been rushed through before anyone could react and to say there is separation is nonsense, at least one journalist said several of the PL solicitors said this wasn't the case.

I would say many PL clubs take their community work seriously and like to have a positive image and all of a sudden into the league comes this murderous regime on the back of clandestine meetings with Govt officials who wont say what they discussed. They will now be rubbing shoulders with these people and if they choose to, doing business with them.

Already we've seen vile online comments from the mags new Middle Eastern supporters and this is just the start.

I'm probably wrong but I think there will be another twist.

You know a canny few mags on here keep going on about if we're so outraged about the Saudis why don't we do something about it and it's only sour grapes and jealousy because we do nothing about our outrage and disgust

I've just seen on the news that a 60 year old man has been attacked by 4 youths and it's been filmed and shared on social media. Am I disgusted by it ? absolutely . Will I do something about it? No but most importantly would I let them in to my house and show them my hospitality and treat them like kings of course I wouldn't as that's just sickening.

What if someone on talksport said they were trying to change?

Lest we forget your part owner strung you along and even got you to come in and replace your own faded seats to save money you daft piss poor cretins

Your owner got his armed forces to blow a school bus filled with children to pieces and killed nearly forty of them.

Your owner had a sixteen year old beheaded for attending a demonstration.

But yeah, top point with the seats.

Very fair post mind.
It is. A big part of the excitement of winning something would come from knowing that your club has been ran sustainably, your season card money has helped towards it, and you've managed to lift a trophy.

I know you're saying you're a Sunderland fan (which is doubtful but I'll play along), so let's just say, theoretically, if you were a mag, what would you rather. A 20 year period where you operate sustainably and win one FA Cup. Or 20 years of oil money where basically the Saudis have bought you, let's say, 3 PL titles, 3 FA cups and a Europa League?

I'd genuinely choose the first. Don't get me wrong, I want to see my team win something major in my lifetime, so if it was a "bought" title or nothing, I'd have the bought title. But if I knew we'd win one major trophy, doing it as a club that felt like it was still a sporting institution would mean a lot more to me than being bankrolled to a few trophies. If the mags start winning things (and its far from guaranteed) they'll obviously enjoy it, anyone would. Deep down I think they'd rather win something the "old fashioned" way though. A cup final against Man City knowing your club has earned it against a bankrolled plaything. That, for me at least, would mean a lot more.

I think to dignify Caulkin as a journalist is overstating it. If he was a journalist he would be asking questions, not just being an uncritical cheerleader.

Fair to say he would not have uncovered Watergate.
Caulkin doesn't appear to be a journalist any more, now resembles an excitable kid interning in PR for the people who murdered and dismembered one of his own profession.

As I said yesterday, if we protested we’d be portrayed among Mag fans and the media as “jealous petty lower league fans“

Im more interested as to why Newcastle fans, who protested and shouted at shops because their owner employed people on zero hours contracts, and didn’t spend what they wanted, aren’t protesting at a vile regime who think nothing of murdering anyone who disagrees with or goes against their ideology.

Don't be too sure. Investment in the region will consist of the Reuben brothers demolishing SJP for office/housing development, and putting a new stadium up somewhere near the airport, maybe Kingston Park.
I was going to say that but I wasn’t sure on the council, but I’m sure they could be swayed. I heard a rumour they want the NE for green energy and go influence that, and airport would be too far but KP could happen, wouldn’t help the short term financial fair play though
