Caulkin and co committed too hard too early which suggests some kind of agreement between them

Any self respecting journo can now drive a truck through the gaps of their “but Disney” defence
I think to dignify Caulkin as a journalist is overstating it. If he was a journalist he would be asking questions, not just being an uncritical cheerleader.

Fair to say he would not have uncovered Watergate.

It’s not our club though. They chose you because they’ll have done their research to find the most desperate, delusional moronic fans in the country to do their dirty work. They couldn’t have chosen a more compliant bunch of fuckwit minions if they tried.

I’d love to know the real reason why. They could have had any of the other clubs with massive potential to recoup the money in success. Why Newcastle??

A balanced well written article

I hope she’s not on Twitter
Brave article and naturally the Goons who frequent that site are giving her Pelters.

This is not going to end well for them. Perhaps its Ashley's last throw to fuck them over after the disgraceful way he was treated by them. To make them a Pyria club who noone will acknowledge or want anything to do with. After all compared to this lot MA is a real tyrant isn't he? 14 years of tyrani iirc. f***ing hell man.

Disgrace of a club with despicable supporters. MURDERERS

Ok, the question was why I'm i here at 2am ? Yes ?

Well, i loved the craic on this forum, especially the gambling forum, i read the cheltenham thread a year ago and wanted to join in, despite not being a Sunderland fan, i joined just before this years festival.
I've never once made on i was a Sunderland fan btw..i just related it to my team.

The smb forum has had me in stitches for years, it's the best football forum by a mile.
I love reading it. About 5 or 6 years ago a mate told me about this place and a thread ( dog related) Funny as fuck btw.
I have had some really nice responses to some of my posts, some meant a lot to me. I've also had some really good advice and help from people here. What can i say..I liked it.

The obsession with NUFC here is beyond ridiculous, i post as i feel, don't care if most disagree.
So do you shower with your Dog?

Not a single one of messrs Bird, Edwards,
Hardy, Hope or even Caulkin give a shiny shite about Sunderland. They’ll turn up when asked to by their bosses for a promotion party, but other than that they’ll be nowhere near the SSOL. Fuck the lot of them.
You could add BBC Newcastle to that too. Their football coverage is a disgrace and has been for years. It's supposed to regional ffs.

When’s this banner getting wheeled out?

You’ve been absolutely annihilated on this thread man, just log off and stick a tea towel on your head.
"If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse, and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality."

United in Pride have just done that. The rainbow lace thing will still go ahead. It'll paint the Saudis as progressive. But the reality is life in Saudi Arabia is horrible for gay people. Their lives won't change because of this takeover. An idiot can see that.

Spineless. I’ll be watching with interest their attempts to get the Saudis to change.
Deluded at best. If the Saudi regime wanted to improve human rights they would, quite easily.

Nothing like showing solidarity with fellow LBGT people in Saudi, no the chance of tarnished glory is too tempting.

By buying Newcastle, they are showing they have no intention of any real change, but are just using Newcastle as a cynical PR exercise.

Anyone else get the sense there maybe some sort of legal challenge in the post? Wouldn’t surprise me if the other PL clubs put some sort of challenge in as to the application of the owners and directors test. For some reason just get the impression this hasn’t run it’s course yet
Just waiting for Biden to release what we already know, and that is the Saudis were fully behind 9/11

Can't see it, but if it did what would happen. The sale is cancelled and Ashley becomes the owner again?

Likely they chose the Premier League because of its worldwide popularity/tv money giving insulation to COVIDs impact on revenue.

Once it's an English top flight club that's has a big stadium and is realistic to buy it's either Villa or Newcastle. Newcastle has the bigger stadium & more supporters (in Eng but worldwide especially). Also it's the club Stavely wanted and had already pre-negotiated a sale with Ashley for.
