Youve always been wealthy, Mike Ashley was hardlies skint, yous spunked 40 mil on joelinton, Ashley was one of the richest owners in the league, in the world. If we're pissed about you being wealthy, we are decades too late. Its the entitlement thats always got us, think yous are entitled to be one of the biggest clubs in the world cos yous get a decent crowd. Now yous think yous are entitled to throw money at the league to try and win it. Me best mate is a Geordie and he reckons youll have won the prem within 5 years and champions league within 10. Its been 2 days and a ball hasn't been kicked under the new owners, its the same players who will be going out on the pitch every Saturday, but now cos you have unlimited blood money behind yous you assume you are going to be world beaters. Theres still a massive chance yous get relegated this season, money isn't everything, Fulham spent 100 mil and got relegated. We had a billionaire owner and we got double relegated. You are going to have to offer players massive contracts to tempt them away from actual big clubs, and it could fuck you far worse than Ashley ever did. Or yous could be the next man City, Chelsea. Hopefully the former.

Conte's already distancing itself, but apparently because he wants to be at a club that's already in Europe. That's going to be their biggest problem.

@mag in peace - if it was the Sheffield Saudi with a wealth measured in 100's of millions fans would not have been wearing tea-towels, putting flags on social media etc. just because Ashley was gone. Just admit it. You have all fallen hook line and sinker for this 300bn bullsh$t. Most fans would, but only one fan base would say things like "they are trying to change". Yes, be happy you are free of Ashley and rich but being apologists for a country that is the antithesis of everything a working man enjoys is embarrassing.

Firstly, didn't expect it to happen. 4 years worth of dithering around was enough for anyone to be cautious.

Secondly, I still don't expect us to spend heavily. It's an investment fund. Whatever they invest, they will be looking to recoup. I don't envisage it being a toy they spend a vast amount on.

Thirdly, my views on these things literally never changed so don't see how it can be viewed as an act.
