I'm obviously excited by the takeover happening but I'm getting the vibe this isn't gonna turn out as well as promised.
Staveley shaking her head when saying affirmative statements. Like she doesn't quite believe what she's saying.

I might have read it wrong, or have a natural tendency to be pessimistic but seeing her interviewed on sky sports there talking about how it will go seemed a bit off. Time will tell. Proceed with caution imo.

This. People need to calm down like
This!

After all the kerfuffle dies down, it could end up hilarious in years to come as we watch PIF do a bit decorating around SJP (along with the Reubens building shit to make money regardless of who it bothers) along with bargain hunting players to eventually sell on to bigger clubs and the Mags start to wonder where the fuck Mbappe & Halaand haven't been signed for £200m each on £1m a week wages.

Slow, so very slow…
Many here are “joking” about the death of a journalist in Turkey…allegedly committed on the orders of a foreign government…
I assume, therefore that American ownership of sports will now be questioned as the American military allegedly killed 11 civilians in Kabul recently

Which sports teams do the investment arm of the US government own mate?

It’s probably because she doesn’t appear to be human so was having trouble conveying normal human body language.

And this week's 'comparing apples to stepladders' award goes to...

A good well researched rant. However in my defence, you all knew I was a Toon fan from the off. I just did loads of responses under the "banter" stuff. Your fans love to give it but can't take it back. Hence my comments tonight. I have family and friends that are sunderland supporters and believe me they get the grief also. Trust me, your team will be promoted and I'm still convinced Newcastle could still be relegated.

There’s no way you have friends.

I’m even dubious you have any family who put up with your lifting patter.

Possibly.
She may just be uncomfortable in front of a camera and nervous, but it just came across a bit like the words didn't match the behaviour. Not that I'm a body language expert but you don't shake your head when you're sure of something imo.

"I will be here all the time: *head shake and smile*. Watch it on mute and it looks like an apology

What do those American owners have to do with the American government?

Your majority shareholder has links with Al-Qaeda and ISIS.
You can give me all of the whataboutery you like it doesn't change the fact that your club is owned by one of the most deplorable regimes of modern times.

Fair play marra, I couldn’t watch the interview one is was stomach churning for any Sunderland supporter to watch but it was also very awkward how she was answering questions. Like to say, hardly convincing in her responses

I wouldn't let your stomach churn, marra. A heart beating with pride and gratitude for SAFC trumps that. Stomachs will have been churning up and down the country today amongst many supporters of many other teams, but it won't have been through jealousy.

You couldn't be more wrong. Newcastle is a fabulous City and the Reubens will invest massively into the future of the leisure industry. This takeover is huge not just for the football club.
