NUFC/Sportwashing

The PL statement is ridiculous like, when PIF is literally the sovereign fund of SA with MBS at the helm of both, to say they are separate is just bonkers. Unless the wording is essentially the other partners are majority shareholders, it makes no sense.

This will be a PR vehicle for the Saudi's but they have a presence in several sports - all publicity for them. They don't, however, autometically splash silly money to be top in those sports. This will make NUFC stable and end the Ashley era, but it can't be assumed that they will be the next Man City. Only the Saudi's know what they are after, it can be argued their PR objectives are better met by being top 6/8 rather than walking away with trophies, the gentle sportswashing works better arguably with the former than the latter.

Aye, that too. To be fair (not that I particularly want to) fans of every club would take it if offered. Society is fucked on all the big issues because most people don't give a flying fuck about human rights, climate change etc. What counts is gratification of wants and desires. The leader of Xtinction Rebellion drives a diesel banger and one of the Insulate Britain protesters lives in a house that isn't insulated.

Hypocrites and fickle as fuck. Show them the money and any principles they may have had go straight out of the window.
Nailed it

We're in an era where City, United, Chelsea and Liverpool are rich. And PSG can out spend anyone. They aint getting Mbappe and Haaland. If this happened in 2009, maybe. But they dont have the appeal of the giant clubs. They'll overtake Arsenal and Spurs in the top 6, but they arent touching the big boys.

Strange they are happy to have a mass murderer owning their club. Wonder if they would be happy having Wayne Couzins owning the club?

Of course not, he’s got no money for fancy players.

Aye it’s going to be very tough watching them
Do well should that happen. However the thing that is going to hurt them the most is the fact people will despise them. They have a lust like no other to be loved and needed and everyone is going to really hate them. They won’t be everyone’s second team ever again

They won't care if they're winning things. But, there are no certainties. I remember themselves creaming themselves when Ashley bought them. Anything could change at any time.

There's absolutely no way this would be getting reported this way and celebrated if they bought Sunderland.

Never in a million years would it be passed
This, remember when we appointed Di Canio, it was the headline news for a week, not on Sky Sports news but the main news channels.

Mags get bought by murdering, terrorist supporting war criminals and not a dickie bird is said.

They'll turn into Millwall. Everyone hates us and we don't care. Theyve always had a superiority complex anyways.
My mate went in a huff because someone shared a meme about them going for the top 6 and he was like we are still in the top 6, fuck spurs

So sad, and imo, so true

Think fans will have, and should have a field day with chants at the gravy swillers.

May not bother them but I've a feeling relentless chanting just might.

Time for "everyone's second fav team" to slip down a bit.
