Not arsed really, they’re on a different level to us currently in terms of playing squad even when they’ve got Ashley & Bruce at the helm.

A tad hypocritical that no one on their side will bring up the Saudi treatment on human rights after a lot has come up about Ashley’s treatment of staff. Then again, I suppose if you have money the morals go out the window.

If ISIS funded them with ridiculous amounts of money, they’d still love it.

Probably, but then the Manchester City and Man Utd players don't live in Manchester, like you say they live in Bowden, Altrincham, Alderey Edge and Knutsford. NUFC players live further afield and if anybody has any sense, they'd sharp start throwing up some McMansions.

Ridiculous isn't it.

The club's case is that Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman is separate to the PIF, which is backing the £300m deal, and therefore would not run the club and be subject to the league's owners and directors' test.
But if the Mail story is true and Bin Salman contacted the PM about the takeover, it would be hard to deny he is not heavily involved.
There are also questions for the government. It says it has not been involved in the takeover. But why then did Boris Johnson write a letter to a supporters' group last August asking for the Premier League to offer "more clarity" on what happened to the deal?

Basically the Crown Prince wont be picking the team.

The first 2 or 3 windows will be a laugh when they pay massive massive money for players whose best days are behind them - Ross Barkley’s of this world.

Except Paul Dummett, who inexplicably lives in a fairly ordinary new build estate in Kingston Park. Always used to amuse me when I saw him leaving for training in the morning :lol:

If you want to play the surrounding areas game, there are plenty in Somerset and Gloucestershire not far from Bristol going for £5m+. The point is that the NE is not seen as sufficiently "bling" - where are the uber-expensive designer shops?

They will spend this seasons budget of £50M in January on Ross Barkley or whatever. Is that enough to fight off relegation, the wrong managerial appointment could be disastrous for them too. Let's not forget Ashley had the whole show running along on the absolute bare bones of its arse. There's zero infrastructure up there. It's why the club fits the PIF investment criteria in the first place, oh yeah that and the primary objective of cleansing of ethics and past reputation.

What would it achieve ? It's for the PL, governments and businesses to decide who they deal with. Our country is happy to sell them arms, our queen is happy to meet the prince. There is a lot of fucked up things happening with regards to the Saudi's and people bending over backwards for them.

I'm going to do what I've always done, support my team. I can't control any of the above. If my club starts being run poorly, you can guarantee as sure as shit I will be vocal about it.

What would protests or outcry achieve when it comes to people who slaughter others for fun buying a football club.... But will have a problem with them and will be vocal about it if the football team doesn't get amazing results
