What, was I 2k or so out was I? I’m guessing a couple of bumper crowds towards the end of the campaign pushed it up. Maybe I’m thinking of the failed play off campaign under McCarthy with the FA Cup semi. There were a lot of crowds around 23-26k.

He is like. I've hated the fucker since 2008. The euros were in Austria and Switzerland. England hadn't qualified. Austria (I think it was them rather than the Swiss) hadn't won a match in f***ing ages. So there's jake, interviewing fans before their first game "how do you think you'll do?", gets the reply "better than England", to which he just laughs and agrees. Fuck that, should have told the stupid Austrian fuck that they only got there through being host and would get pumped out in the group stage. But no, snivelling little prick. Only on tele because he must appeal to the generally non football watching housewife crowd, he can get fucked

What helps me sleep at night is knowing my 13 year old lad has his 1st season for Sunderland..he and 7 of his mates all together...( dad not cool these days🤣)
He comes home buzzing at the moment and loves his footy..and most of all loves his club...luckily he's blissfully unaware of takeovers and corruption the blight football...probably change when he's a bit older..but for now if he's happy then I'm happy!!!........FTM.
