Sunderland fans absolutely losing their shit here. Get a grip lads.

In comparison to some I don’t feel worried at all. The start they’ve had and the amount of games to go til January…

I could see them maybe chucking a few quid at it during the window but it going the same way QPR did when they got the likes of Chris Samba.

Couple that with the inevitable media shitstorm heading their way at some point.

Think this is a good thing really.

You’re an idiot if you don’t think they’re going to spend a shit load of money. Man City were going to spend over £200million this summer alone if they could have got Kane. The Man City owners are paupers compared to the Saudis.
Spend money on what? Overpay for average players to get them further up the league maybe, but there a lot more glamorous clubs out there now than NUFC. Then there's the lure of the CL, living around London or Manchester, playing under world class coaches and playing with world class players.

They might have wealth, spending it on quality will be a different matter altogether.

This is what Staveley said on their plans.

‘They’re tenacious, (got) deep pockets and committed.
We’re going to invest heavily into not only players but the academy, the grounds, the infrastructure and the surrounding areas.

Players will live anywhere if you give them £500,000 a week.

Let’s face it mate they would basically be around 10 times richer than Man City on the face of it. It may take a few years - just like it did city - but ultimately that sort of money will tell eventually

First thing to do to get fans onside. Sack him immediately! And for the sake of fans of other clubs let's hope he's off the merry go round
He’ll end up somewhere else. I’m just trying to think of someone he hasn’t managed yet.

He used to play for Norwich so might be them or hopefully Ipswich

The mental gymnastics from Newcastle fans on this, trying to justify how it's actually good, are probably the most embarrassing thing I've ever seen from a set of football fans. There was some embarrassing shit on here when we appointed a fascist as manager but fuck me, this lot are next level.

I don’t think people are grasping just how much money they have behind them. Yes they will buy some expensive flops on the way but ultimately they will get there. Look at how Man City started signing Robinho, Mark Hughes as manager it took them a while to build it up.

Look what PSG have spent . They’ve won nothing in Europe and their league is nothing like the premier league.
Also , cmon , the attraction of living in Paris versus living in Newcastle upon Tyne. 😂😂😂😆😆

If anyone has access to a desert island with no TV, radio or internet, early tomorrow morning would be a good time to go there.
I work in the city centre and I’m actually at their ground next week for a conference, I hope the fuckers cancel it.
