I was probably in a minority, but when this potential takeover first came about, I kinda hoped it would. I thought it would be a ‘be careful what you wish for’ moment for the Mags. Plus, their club hand in hand with their hideous regime is well suited, and would bring their name down to the gutter.
Now, I’m 50/50. They’d be insufferable for a period of time, but I still don’t think they’d reach the top table.

EDIT. Although what would be hilarious if they took over Inter after all of this.

If we end up in the PL making up the numbers as a bog standard mid table club for example, that's hardly going to draw kids support over Mbappe etc.

The mags are in for a shock with how modest the changes are going to be.

If they sack Bruce, clean the stadium and remove the decaying pigeon from the Gallowgate, most will see that as a significant improvement.

The club's a f***ing mess, if it can be even remotely rectified off the pitch, then the mags will be fine.
 
The only media source I’ve seen which doesn’t have a commercial vested interest in generating traffic, calls, and subscriptions (the BBC) is far cooler on this than some of the newspapers.

Still big hurdles, still have to prove what they couldn’t prove last time.

The Daily Telegraph understands there remains fierce appetite amongst the Saudi backers to buy into English top tier football - but there are lingering concerns around the £300 million price-tag previously demanded by Newcastle.



Looks like they'll be buying the same sort of players they are now, while turning themselves into the most despised and hated club in the world. Think I'd rather stick with Mike Ashley if I were them.
 
The big investment in the region will benefit Sunderland area.......just like when you were a kid "you got your big brothers cast offs" :lol:

No. I haven't given up on human beings either even though the Tories have. My principles will remain the exact same. I will continue to teach and educate children about what is right and what is wrong. I will continue to fight the good cause for the vulnerable in society.

I can only control what I can control.
