Graeme Jones or some random foreigner. They love a random foreigner.

I can't imagine it's that attractive to good managers wanting an 'audition'. No money to spend, shite squad, uncertain ownership situation, mental fans with totally unrealistic expectations.
They talked about managers on talkSPORT around 6am today. McCoist said every manager thinks they are different and will be the ones to change it. There will be a queue of managers after that this job. I just hope that Sherwood is at the head of this queue.

I think he would, and to be honest I'm not sure how much resistance there would be as at the moment it's the anyone but Bruce theory (and that's a camp I'm in pretty much). Said it so many times, that I could forgive his more (ahem) limited management skills, if he was not such a bullshitting victim and shouldered some blame.

His last few carbon copy interviews have talked about not deserving to lose, being unlucky, keepr not having a save to make (neither did theirs Steve) etc etc. Not an ounce of responsibility on himself.

He loves to rewrite history mind. If/when you sack him, he will spin it that he was sacked due to (i) managing Sunderland (ii) uncertainty around the takeover

If your ownership was stable then Howe would jump at the chance but given the fact he turned down Celtic due to it being a goldfish bowl and uncertainty around funds, I can’t see him being overly keen at present.

I actually think Gerrard would be a good fit but there is no chance he’d leave Rangers at this stage for Newcastle
Aye, fair point Hank. Would love to see Gerrard in charge, think he has all the attributes to be be top manager, and another club before the inevitable Liverpool job. But agree, no chance.

Never minded Bruce while he was here and thought he was dismissed early, although I understand the arguments against him at the time. If & when he is sacked at Newcastle it may be shrewd for LJ to onboard him in a freelance advisory capacity if it suited all parties.

Canny bait you might need a bigger boat
Been serious and certainly won't be engaging in an argument about it. It wouldn't be something that , if it ever happened, would be publicised but Johnson may think about it if an (whatever we may think about him) experienced premier league coach is idle in the region.

I suspect Gerrard will leave the Gers in the summer. As you say, he will end up eventually at Liverpool but it’s whether he risks taking a premier league job as a final stepping stone before Klopp quits.

I do think he’d be a good fit for your lot, but in reality you are probably more likely to appoint Neil Lennon then Gerrard under Ashley.

Agreed. In reality it will probably be Jones after Bruce. But I'm not sure he could be any worse.

Gerrard is headed for the Liverpool job. Why would he take the risk of the Newcastle job? It could completely knack up his destiny.

Lampard might take it though.

Everything is dependent on Klopp really. As I posted earlier mate, I think Gerrard will leave the Gers in the summer and it will then be a waiting game for him.

If Klopp decides to stay for another two years then Gerrard will need a premier league job until the inevitable happens. The mags under new ownership (if it ever happens) would probably be an attractive option for him but so would be WHU, Spurs or Villa.

Depending on how Nuno does this season, Spurs could be a real option for Gerrard in the summer and no doubt his preferred option until the Liverpool job is free. He thankfully won’t consider the mags under Ashley though

Re: Lampard. He will replace Gerrard at Ibrox imo

Jones or Wilder. Apparently Wilder has expressed an interest according to Twitter (so probably bollocks). It matters not, no one decent will touch it with a bargepole. It's a career ending move so I think Gerrard will steer well clear. I think he was approached when Bouncy walked and said no.

First line on Wraiths next video:
