One city team with a gigantic catchment area, in the PL and cannot sell out their tickets because they don't have a team like Man City. They don't go to support the team it seems, they attend and hang onto their seats in the desperate hope that they will one day be bought out by a group as wealthy as the saudis, it's all becoming clear now. If that's off the cards completely, their attendances will continue to fall. It's not about getting rid of Ashley because they would be gutted if he sold to someone less wealthy than him.

Shearer: "Fans are not happy, and rightly so."

Why rightly so? Did they struggle last season? They are still relatively new to the PL, this is only their 5th consecutive season (I think) in the league after winning the championship. Burnley are more establish side for example. Why then are their fans rightly not happy? Because they aren't challenging at the top, if that's the case why aren't other fans in the league unhappy? Why aren't Burnley protesting?
