Nah it’s done. Qatar are paid off, they keep their tv deal, premier league tv gravy train money continues to roll, all is well in the eyes of the premier league.

Richard Masters finally can sleep.

It will be interesting to see what the clubs do mind. They will obviously rip off the mags if they want one of their players, but I suspect a number of clubs won’t have an issue with tightening up FFP.

Unfortunately no matter how many news reels, internet articles, condemnation from every planet in the sun, from amnesty international to Yemen this ship has sailed and money talks
Like it or not Newcastle utd will be a powerhouse in the foreseeable future
I wouldn't say foreseeable. Will be about 10-15 years before any sort of consistency.

Will take 2 to three years to sort out infrastructure and get a team that will attract top managers and players, then there will be a few years of nearly there where thye don't have the experience and fall short.

You have literally picked thw population of the UK and deducted. Under 18’s cannot vote.

Come on, man. If 50m eligible voters did not vote conservative they would not be in government.

Ok genius, how about this? - more people didn’t vote Tory than did. Fact

They could, but one that stinks to high heaven.

Even other sportswashing clubs are holding their noses.

I hope everyone who has discovered their voice over human rights, also campaigns against the government who are in the process of setting up a trade deal with the Saudis.
Well I certainly do! Fck me do you think a sunderland message board is full of people who like the Tories?
They revolt me. And Newcastle 's reputation as a left wing city is down the dumper. Y

Was it

It'll be interesting to see how much they actually engage with the supporters.

Was it Roy Keane (on Ellis Short) that said when a billionaire buys your club, it becomes his, not the fans? Not a truer word said, and it kind of undermines the 'wa getting wa club back' hysteria. We know what happened when Ellis got fed up. With the kind of sums we could see being thrown around, the support has become very much a minority stakeholder. The matchday revenue is a piss in the ocean.
Be interesting to see how long the owners hang around on twitter, didn’t end well for Donald

Too late for them to do much mind, it's done. Although I would piss myself if they vote to tighten FFP so the Saudis can sit there with 300 billion of assets and a maximum spend of £20m a season

Liverpool have already been voicing concerns about FFP, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they took this development to put forward tighter proposals.

Wage limits and more rules around sponsorship would kill both the mags and City (although City’s head start will help them)

Would be a good move, although it would be pathetic if they only consider fair play when they start getting worried that they might lose their place at the top of the table! Still, if it fucks the mags and their murderous overlords over then I'll all for it

In fairness, going by this thread, a good whack of right wingers posters are appalled by the Saudi regime as well. It is difficult not to be really; they are absolutely awful.

Think Boris has overstepped his mark. The f***ing clown. Too late though , deal done.

That genie is long out the bottle. Ironically the Premier League is far more competitive than the more socialist egalitarian Bundesliga.
