Not saying this is right, but the Qataris own Man City & PSG and they basically facilitated the Taliban going back into Afghanistan. The plane that flew the leaders back in (from Qatar) was a Royal Qatari Flight. Add to that the hundreds or even thousands of disposable lives lost building their WC stadia & they're hardly the nice guys.
Think in the same week they bought Messi they were flying the Taliban into Kabul.
Not saying the Saudis are a nice bunch but the PL, UEFA & FIFA have all allowed fundamentally unfit people to buy into football. Sad.
???

I don't live where I work either, never have. Dont exactly see your point. To say the whole of the north east was a bit if an exaggeration I think.
I guess we will see in the next 10-15 years.

This will have been said before but I’ll add my voice.

the last season or so has seen a billionaire take over Sunderland. His brother joined the board (also a billionaire) and a high flying lawyer joined the club to boot.

We’ve seen the back room and team rebuilt forming a young and dynamic setup from top to bottom.

Lets not get carried away with Newcastle being taken over because we are bloody lucky here and I’m loving our slow and steady.

who’s not to say that the billionaires in charge of us have long term plans about our stadium and surroundings once the world recovers from Covid and we begin to kick on because the potential is definitely there.

The one at work reckons they'll have loads of wriggle room with FFP because of how Ashley has been running the club.
