Crying. Shelvey 3rd in assists behind Fernandes and KDB. Wilson managed to stay fit.

These lot are on smack surely?
I honestly believe Newcastle's local paper the chronicle is part of the reason the fans are absolutely puggled and deluded.

The paper fuels the delusion and has no sense of realism. Some of the articles they print are bordering on insane and the mags lap it up its like a cult paper for a bunch of cults

You should add in the fact that when it looked like the Saudis deal was beginning to hit the rocks a leading socialist MP, Chi Onwurah, tabled questions in Parliament and acted as a primary cheerleader, along with the the overwhelming number of NUFC fans in the local media like Caulkin, Bird, Hardy etc and several of the hierarchy of Newcastle City Council (who ignored the fact that the Saudis had the blood of Khashoggi on their hands as well as an abysmal human rights record and prattled on about their blood money helping the ‘region’-what, like Wearside lol?) adding their voices.

Onwurah’s rhetoric was particularly self serving, populist clap trap designed to back the ridiculous weeping and a wailing of her dumb constituents who wanted the Saudis in at any cost whatsoever.

Arrogant. Deluded. Fans of other clubs just fall over laughing at their pure desperation.

Very true, I’ve thought that for years. It constantly tells them how great they are and can’t print an article without using words like iconic, historic, world famous, etc…

It’s gone on that long, the idiots actually believe it.

One of the things I remember about Bruce really was when we beat you 5-1. I remember that day thinking how clueless and lacking in fight you were. It looked like a group of players who were strangers and didn't know what they were doing. Thats how I see us now.

You then compare that to your wins against us managed by less experienced and possibly more limited managers, and they were deserved wins as well. Even Di Canio who has done nothing since orchestrated one of those wins, as at the very least I imagine he could properly instill fight and passion into the players.

Bruce has managed hundred and hundreds of games in the PL and still doesn't look like he knows what he's doing most of the time.

But perhaps that's on you. You seem to be unable to give him any credit when you do win.

Explained earlier mate. My original point was a mag in Silky . Then folks started saying lads fans can be from mag land. I know that but it's the fact of where hes from has me pissed off.
I grew up just round the corner from Quarry Road. There's people who still live in that street that I've known all my life, but I have no idea who this lad is. There’s a few families from out of the area been moved in and out of council houses round that way. Most of them have caused bother in the areas they've moved from and been quickly moved on again. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he's from a family that have been shipped in from somewhere else.

Bruce knows his stuff so how people can say he's useless is beyond me.
Is he the best manager? No, absolutely not.
Is he the best manager for Newcastle? In my opinion, not a chance.
Is he doing a fair enough job with the tools he's handed at Newcastle? Yes he is, for most part of a season.
Does he mess up at times? Yes. As most managers do.

Do the team play for him? Yes they do.
Are there times when the team looks like they've given up on him? In my opinion, yes and I've thought this on a few occasions.

I want better for Newcastle but as it stands it's a case of going through the motions and hoping for better football, which up to now has been ok despite the losses and in time a real stab at giving the bigger clubs a run for their money.

We could be a lot worse off than we are so I'm ok with it as it stands, until something better comes along.
