No, not a chance. If the potential owner was worth a few hundred million there is no chance their fans would be protesting outside the FA.

It’s almost like Big Mike has a vested interest in stringing this thing out as long as possible (i.e arbitration hearings instead of just letting her get off the hook and pay the cash back ASAP), to make as much cash out of these people as he possibly can. Even if the deal doesn’t ultimately go through.

How much was the deposit mate? Was that the £30m that was reported? Does that mean the Saudi's haven't invested any money in all of this?

Because the Saudis aren't the one's on the hook for it. Staveley is desperate to resurrect the deal for that reason. The Saudis haven't said anything in public since they pulled out.

Think it was a bit less - I've seen £18m mentioned. I think she was hoping to pay it back after the Barclay's case, on the assumption she'd win. She's only really been vocal again since she lost the case. There's nothing to suggest that PIF or the Reuben's have paid for anything but the due diligence work.

Staveley is also liable for her her expenses in court case against Barclays; she tried to. claim them but lost that as well; could be up to £19 million

the north east continues to get fucked by forces not from the area and all I see is more defeatists than anyone else.

we made alan pardew weep on tv. We blitzed all of England and it was heard over here in the US too on nbc. It’s time to go after masters, Hoffman and the league. No letter or protest of 50 people is doing that.

this isn’t just football. The league is not protecting the fans or the club or the region. This is literally a governing body in sport denying happiness, jobs, investment, development and growth to the region.
