Like I said earlier, the Saudis were interested pre world economic meltdown. Now this, coupled with petrol cars not being made in this and many other countries in 8 years time will see them 'investing' all over the place. As we all know, if you're wanting to make money, football in this country is not the place, unless you run it like Ashley.
If they think it would be another Man City scenario, I reckon they'd be very disappointed and that's if there was any chance of it happening. The Saudi fellas don't appear the types to go back cap in hand after walking away due to being blocked in the first place.

I have always had a soft spot for Darlington, through family connections. When they went to the wall it was horrible to watch. A club and its history pretty much wiped out by a string of shitty opportunist owners.
I feel the pain of the Bury fans and Swindon fans. Where were the martyrs of Newcastle then? If they're "for all fans" where are they when it's not their club.

That's why I hate the majority of Newcastle fans. They go on like a club that's hard done to. They really really aren't. They're exactly where they historically should be. Middle/lower top flight. Ashley runs them reasonably well. But they hate him because irrationally they think they deserve more. But usually they find a soundbite to detract from their insecurity. We want a club that tries/mental health/investment in the region/fa corruption

I'd love to see how the bastards handle an owner that takes them almost to the wall. It's a wakeup call they seriously need
