The Chronicle tweeted a story last night about Pickford receiving a phone call from Benitez the other night, and the replies were superb

The vast majority were, without any hint of irony, saying that The Chronicle should focus on Newcastle and stop reporting on and mentioning someone who isn’t even their manager :lol:

He has managed some massive clubs and is probably not a bad choice to rebuild Everton’s fortunes and oversee the move to a new stadium ……… If given the opportunity by the fans

I wouldn't bother reading that shite mate. I know you've moved to Newcastle and are a fan of the city if not the team. But the chronic is as poor an excuse for journalism as the echo imho
