NUFC/Sportwashing

Mate, coming on here trying to goad us with playground insults because someone called you names is the absolute opposite of "level headed".

And if you think people pointing out the issues with this can be dismissed because they're SAFC fans so they have an agenda and must be "envious and bitter" you may need to log off and do some reading.

Over 100,000 Yemeni people are dead from bombing and malnutrition as a direct result KSAs proxy war there.
Women are in jail for the "political" act of wanting equal rights.
Gay people are killed.
Women who have sex outside of marriage are stoned to death.

And while these uncomfortable facts are being pointed out your fellow NUFC fans are abusing a widow of the bloke murdered by killers flown in your owners private plane to kill him on his orders.
Your fellow fans are all over the Internet "whatabouting" any KSA critic with cries of "Disney".
While an LGBTQ NUFC supporters group are releasing statements supporting the buy out and hoping it will be a vehicle for change? KSA NUFC accounts are telling them to "die", and saying that they'll NEVER accept NUFC gay supporters.

Yet the real issue?
The REALLY important part of all of this?
Is for you to come on here and call us "Jealous"?

If you really believe that's the takeaway from all of this you may want to reflect on where and why your previous moral stances have evaporated to such an extent you're attacking SAFC fans for saying EXACTLY what you'd be pointing out if they'd bought us...?
The unwashed would have a point if it were just SAFC fans stating this but it's not.

Journalists galore , amnesty international, various politicians and celebrities along with a host of others recognise it.

Who doesn't. Well that's the unwashed and the unwashed ex players.

Says it all really.

Only downside is tickets will be like gold dust now will be 52k sell outs instantly like it used to be up until Bruce came. We need a bigger ground. Ideally get SJP to 70k but don’t think it can be done.

Tottenham have won f all for nearly 2 decades now. They have been mainly in the top 6, played loads of European football, got a cracking new stadium out of it and had great players and probably increased their fanbase and profile too. You don’t have to win things to class it as a good period. Tottenham are viewed as one of the “big 6” yet are trophyless in nearly 20 years.
You don’t learn. ‘Nearly 20’ but it’s been 13 so say closer to 10, also they were 90 minutes away from winning the Champions League a few year ago, Tottenham are a big club, not huge.

Everything about them is bigger than you, history, trophies, stadium, European history and also their recent history. They finished second in the Prem 5/6 year ago too, they are viewed as big because since 2000, they’ve won a major trophy, have world class players (Bale, Modric, Kane), competed in a Champions League final, and have got European football very often. That is why, facts noopinion

Well one league cup but I get your point. Trouble is the word from White Hart lane is spurs must win something. Their fans crave for it as they have been in among Arsenal and Chelsea for that 20 years compared to Sunderland you will think that's great but to them it's a disaster the stadium could yet ruin them. Instead of building a 60k stadium designed for glamorous add on they put the works into it. It's royally fu£_& them. All this would be based on success they are not happy fans

It's not sound thinking.

I don't doubt that he would completely change his lifestyle because a football team was bought

Wait till he finds he can't drink, has to pray five times a day, and has to fast from sunrise to sunset for four weeks every year. Oh, and then there's the obligation to give alms, and the prohibition on interest-bearing loans (good luck with the mortgage there). Plus learning Arabic.

Agree with your post. Still won nothing through all of that though since 2008. Just saying you can have a good period and increase revenue and profile etc without winning something. Anyhow we were ahead of Spurs in the league and in terms of crowds revenue champions league etc until Ashley turned up.

To be honest I wouldn’t brag about it. I’m honest and I’m ecstatic now and haven’t gave a seconds thought to any issues. I wouldn’t like to see us be the next Man City or Chelsea though and become “plastic”. I would be happy with some solid PL players like Tarkowski, Lingaard etc and buy some hot prospects from France etc like we used to. We used to pinch PSG’s best players even in the 90s/00s in Ginola and Robert. I would be happy with a good academy, some ambition, communication and the europa league every other season or so like we used to.
Hahaha PSG. You obviously haven’t got a clue, they were shit back then man
