To all you sensible Sunderland fans out there! Have a read (it is a long read) and tell me your opinion of your own owners and shareholders background!
I won’t give you my thoughts…. It was a Sunderland fan who sent it to me!

Are you gonna turn your back on your club like you expect us to?

Sartori is a c***, we don’t like him, we don’t want him and hopefully he will be gone soon.

Caulkin: “And with a brave face to the wind, she dared stand up for her truth. Like a duck swimming against the tide of the Tyne”
Unless of course that link she references is to a dictator who is killing innocent children and committing horrendous war crimes against humanity. Still at least good old Amanda doesn’t have to worry about support of such a regime.
Reports about the mags new owner coming out recently- see link below- truly disgusting regime and human being

The mags won’t let this vile abuse of humanity get in the way of a good old cup run.

I ain’t comparing I was simply asking for opinion

You have to admit it’s quite an interesting read though. And I agree there is no comparison to be had.

I am not comparing at all, but like most clubs with foreign investment there is always somebody shady involved somewhere.
Owners, directors test failed a long long time ago.

Fair comment but it is an interesting read and back up the theory that wherever foreign investment exists someone shady is involved somewhere.

I replied below but no comparison just an observation about virtually all foreign investment.

We see you! What an embarrassing attempt at deflection.

For clarity the person running KSA who gifted PIF the shares in Aramco and diverted 40bn of FX reserves is instructing Saudi jets to bomb civilians in Yemen. NUFC have zero degree's of separation from a dictator.

Sartori by marriage to Dmitry Rybolovlev is connected to Dmitry Rybolovlev who in turn is connected to Putin......3 degrees of separation.

We dont expect you to. In fact we know you wont because of who you are.

You wanted them so badly and even adorn their clothing whilst waving Islamic flags. Then applaud the excellency to his seat.

Scum and Queen Stavely the Russian sympathiser has shown you lot for what you are.

Love Eddie me like , Doesn't take much to be liked as a Newcastle manager ,all you need is to be a gent , see Keegan , Robson , Hughton , Benitez , he’s on a par with them , top manager and a top bloke.
Nobody, absolutely nobody deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as the messiah

I try to debate sensibly….. fact is 90% of all football fans would welcome the investment at NUFC regardless

Herein lies the difference. There is a small minority who welcomed the investment but have not fawned over the owners.

It is hard to grasp but PIF needed NUFC more than NUFC needed them. KSA already pay a fortune to cleanse their public image but for a modest investment (which they will get back plus more) they have recruited an army of "cleansers" who are now self professed experts on Middle Eastern politics and the the modernization of KSA. These are not non-native speakers following a script in some twitter farm, many of these are educated people with good jobs who will tirelessly defend PiF and KSA. It is absolutely fascinating to see how peoples love of a football club could make someone behave like this. I mean grown men celebrating KSA national day, wishing MBS and the Chair of PIF happy birthday. Watching from the outside it is incredible and a club who were once many peoples second team are now quite frankly a joke. NUFC fans have let themselves be used as pawns on the understanding that they sign some footballers and the hope once again of winning something.

There is indeed sir. I would hope they do something to help the lad. Alan could just write them a cheque also.
On this topic you do seem to be very suspicious of the true intentions regarding the £200k. Can I ask if your suspicions are founded on blind opinion, an attempt to score points here, or a real concern based on experience and facts?
My question is genuine, not having a pop. If it is the latter then do something about it before what you fear may happen, happens.

I am indeed deeply suspicious about this, and have held my suspicions about that fundraising effort since the day it was started. I said as much here back in August, after observing a number of other mag fan groups attempting to rip of their fellow supporters. This was the biggest pile of money, so was always going to be the biggest potential problem area of the lot:

The Supporters Trust had already disgraced themselves with a number of awful statements regarding the takeover by the time 'the pledge' was launched in April 2021. The worst was contained in the statement accompanying the petition that was signed by 130k mags, which said that MbS was an ally of the UK government and Royal family, was a human rights reformer, and was integral to the UK's covid19 response. That shows you what type of characters were in charge of this.

The first thing that struck you about 'the pledge' was what an absolutely stupid idea it was. Ashley had no obligation to sell them anything, and owning 1% of the club would give no influence over anything anyway. So anybody could see that any money raised would never be used for its intended purpose, and to my mind there were serious questions about the character of the people overseeing it. It also wasn't a 'pledge' as its name suggested - the money wasn't pledged - the trust were actually holding it.

In January they announced that there was no point in it anymore, and they would be voting on what to do with the money, with their preferred option being to give it to charity. Why vote on it? Surely its obvious that if it isn't going to be spent on what it was raised for, then it should just be returned to the donors - they can donate it to charity if they want.

Some of your fans complained that there was only about 2 days to vote, they were only notified via one email, and if they weren't in the trust then they were never even contacted. Unsurprisingly the outcome was to give it to charity. Not the worst outcome, but the way it was handled would make anyone suspicious.

Since then there's been nothing - not even an update in nearly 7 weeks. Where is the money being held? How much interest has it gathered? What was done with that interest? A holiday for the leading Trust members? Has someone blown it all feeding a gambling addiction? No one knows.

Now it seems that a very obvious opportunity to donate to a worthwhile cause has passed without comment from the trust. More and more people will draw their own conclusions the longer this goes on.

It looks likely that yet again we will be forced to conclude that some Newcastle United supporters with a public profile will have behaved absolutely disgracefully, in full view of everyone, and yet again it is just going to be accepted because the behaviour is linked to the football club.

Who’s going to tell him? Exile?

Yemen = Ukraine.

Bury their heads if they want but this is the truth.

Sadly none of the magedia will challenge them. They should think what the Saudis did to one of their own profession.

Morals lower than a snakes belly. Hypocrits if they fly any Ukranian flag today.

Sportswashing obviously works in this country.

That's a good post with good points raised.
Have you contacted Northumbria Police about it?
