I admit this is a bit of a stretch but how do you feel about the Louis-Dreyfus family selling a 45% stake in their business to the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund? It’s business KLD would likely have had a say in and could be money finding its way into SAFC?

UAE’s attitudes and treatment of people may be softening but still pretty barbaric. They’re also Saudi’s biggest allies and bombing the fuck out of Yemen too.

Like I said, it’s a huge stretch but if you’re as principled as you make out, it must be a concern for you.
.. Their business if in food/agriculture. Perhaps they are trying to feed people.. Either way the Saudi's don't have a stake in us ..

Jesus Christ I’d rather be poor than have fans like this

The funny thing about their 'revival' of sorts is Howe has not got them p!saying anything remotely like sexy football. They're more resolute and harder to break down but hardly create many goalscoring opportunities. All they've had to shout about are two good free kicks Trippier has absolutely blasted into the net whilst keeping it tight at the back.
they're so deluded they're celebrating imaginary scenarios that have never existed.

Which scenarios? All I've seen is celebration of three consecutive victories. They definitely happened.

You're right. I should have said different leagues.

correct, Ashley was very much a third level criminal with his 'nasty' retail empire resorting to inhumane zero hour 'slavery' contracts, only right as ethical compassionate fans you shouted at his shops and protested his ownership of your fine upstanding club.

The Saudi Arabian state, however, is very much Premier League, torturing, persecuting so many groups in SA and maiming and killing kids in other countries by the bus load. Those same ethical compassionate fans now fall silent, or in most cases welcome them with unconditional love, like a dog for its cruel master.

Ah, selective reality - how about "In 2/3 years we'll be bigger than Chelsea, Man City and PSG" etc etc

From 17th January:

The scheme was set-up in order to generate funds to purchase shares of the football club, with £200,000 raised in the space of just a few months.

However, following the completion of the takeover last year, the Supporters Trust no longer deem it necessary to put it towards helping the club, as they now believe their long-term future is secured regardless of whether they are relegated to the Championship.

NUST will now start the process of identifying North East charities that could receive the funds and will engage with members on this in the coming weeks.

Did anyone hear which charities got the 200k? Surely couldn’t have taken more than a month to sort that out could it?

I know a lot of mags were unhappy at only having 2 days to vote on what happened to it, and the website being down for those 2 days anyway. Surely after such a shambles, they’d be doubly careful to make sure everything is in order, being the fine, morally upstanding folk we know they are?

They certainly did their homework and picked the most gullible fanbase in world football for their vile sportswashing

I'd rather win well in League 1 than win shite in the Premier league
Well, that’s me convinced.

Just daft hopeful speculation, absolutely harmless unless you’re over sensitive.
