Brobbey doesn’t get the fouls that everyone thinks he should because his game is backing into defenders, the defenders getting more of the decisions than they should.

It takes more to stop him than it does to stop the other lad. So if they give as good as they get its generally enough to stop the defender but not enough to stop Brobbey even if the infraction is the same. Refs should take this into account

A more clear and obvious refereeing error you will never see but no VAR. he gave a free kick to us for far less 20 seconds later so when people moan about inconsistency it’s not even game to game, it’s within seconds in the same game. VAR has certainly fucked the game. Refs are shot scared to make a decision, and VAR reluctant to intervene. The Ballard red the obvious time it f***ing did for something so pathetic, just because hair pulling was the flavor of the month. Sad

The freekick was less of a foul than the pen as well 😂 like you say it’s literally within mins sometimes.

VAR should be Brobbeys friend but they don't want to know. If he starts diving he'll get booked every game. Hopefully the club can alert the Premier league to understand the difference between physicality and outright assault. Doubt it'll happen though. If he played for Arsenal or Manchester it would.

He backs in but always seems to reach back and grab their shirt and hold on far too long. This is what the refs usually see so he won't get a decision when he's also fouled.

I think he's strong enough to do what he does but without the shirt grabbing. It's strange why nobody at the club has been working with him to reduce it so that he does get more decisions his way or doesn't concede the free kick.
 
That pen we didn't get against Everton at home when Michael Keane almost caught the ball still baffles me, always thought the refereeing standards would be better in the top flight, of what I've seen not much.
