Icarebecauseyoudo said:Great position, but I'd imagine they'd have a half hour slog in the morning
It's 16 points for a win and just 3 for a draw isn't it?
They should lash on for about 45 mins in the morning and have around 80 overs to bowl them out. Easy stuff
Aye, if we bat on a bit we don't have to give defending a moment's thought, get Borthwick on and surround the bat
Nottinghamshire now have to quickly take the final three Durham wickets on the final morning if they are to stand any chance of knocking off the runs and maintaining the pressure on Championship leaders Warwickshire.

They might do but it looks like none of our relegation rivals are heading for a win so even if we lose going for it we won't lose much ground. Our bowling attack is surely too good to allow Notts to score 342 before we take 10 wickets.
I knar I'm being pedantic because we're in a great position but the last hour was frustrating. Scoring at snails pace with two batsmen well set. Seems like a waste, we could EASILY have made a further 20 runs in that final session and we could easily have had a lead of 360-370 which to me would have been more than enough to leave them on the final day.
This, why not just chuck the bat at it T20 for the last half hour or so.
Clearly the plan was to do that this morning
we defintly need to leave enough to have a decent fo with the new ball. should have just slashed at it yesterday and declared overnight
