Onions preparation for this match today has been, hang around Lords most of the morning, hop in a car and drive to Nottingham. And he's already picked up 2 wickets

Edit: Make that 3

He should be in the England team. Better option than Bresnan and Broad at the minute in my opinion.

Quite happy with the test attack of Finn, Anderson, Broad & Swann. - they've had a hard summer against a world clas batting line-up. Wont be the first or last.

Dont see the point of England keep selecting him in the squad when in reality there's nee chance of him playing when the above four are fit. Also you would think Bresnan is ahead of Onions. Tremlett to come back too.

It's a good attack but if you bowl poorly for extended spells and not look threatening whilst having someone like Onions take shit loads of wickets and yet have no pressure on your place in the side then you'll not stop at the top of your game for long.

Look on the bright side. When it was happening to Anderson he never got to bowl at all. Constantly called into the squad, but never playing for England or Yorkshire.

Onions should have been playing at Headingley, but the ECB like to maintain this "order of bowlers" policy it seems.

Broad took 3/96 & 5/69 at Leeds, 0/118 at the Oval (all the English bowlers struggled)

Against the West Indies he took 7/72 & 4/93 at lords. 2/81 & 1/58 at Trent Bridge.

Not the worst form is it?

Didn't realise it had been quite as good in numbers terms but watching him he hasn't been quite right. Warne agrees with me as well so I'm not alone ;-)
