Semantics

Could have been offered a few championship jobs, but equally as much they could be at Millwall, Reading and Bristol.

Bristol City is a decent club tbf. Reading is also not a bad club to get back into management.
Shame it’s not the 2002 RK who’d of just let rip and torn Speekman or Methven a new one (would have paid good money to see old Roy vs Methven) my guess is now he’d just laugh at him and tell him to get to f**k.

Is it possible that this is dragging out yet another day because someone in a senior position is trying to come back with an offer that is acceptable to RK?

Obviously wilding more in hope than expectation but still... possible.... maybe...

Sky reporting Neil is appointed

He's now seen as a management failure who is an amusing lunatic on TV.
Really?
Is that genuinely what most people think?

One of the most decorated players in this games history?

A man who took a side from almost bottom of the Championship to the Premier League in about half a season?

A man who was part of the management team to take Ireland to the World Cup?

Who's only failure was a spell at Ipswich?

An amusing lunatic on tv.

OK.

Sam.
Five year contract.
He'll be dead before it runs out, so no comp to pay when he leaves.
Make him pay half his salary to Bradleys charity, for shitting on us last time around.
And ask him very nicely to kick the living shit out of the boardroom.😁

Get to absolute fuck man, am done this club is seriously getting on my tits at the minute, never felt so raged and disappointed in me life. shithouses the lot of them.

Mind all these ITK's claiming it was done yesterday etc should hang their heads in shame. Seriously, what do they get out of it?!

It is possible they did agree terms and then Keane has changed his mind.

But this board has had more than enough arguments around the word 'done'

To me it means signed, but as we have discovered before to some it means a handshake and to others it means verbal. None of which are completely done at all.

I haven’t read through all the previous posts relating to the potential appointment of Roy Keane, but I’ll hazard a guess and say that the only ‘real’ opportunity that he had to get back into management was right here, right now. This was his platform. A following he’s never experienced since his Man Utd days. His options were to make himself an absolute legend by taking us into the Championship and becoming a real ‘legend’ or falling short. Clearly, we don’t know what’s happened behind the scenes, but maybe his reputation was more important…a pundit who people seem to fawn over (not me) or a failed manager. Instead of questioning the leadership of the club, maybe Keane just didn’t have the balls for the challenge. Just playing Devil’s Advocate here…

Broken clocks and all that - people complain about KLD and co. But Storey is on another level of shit.
Very true but if hes as daft as his press ...He still sussed the rotten core that msd and the three amigos long before some of the more sage members of this forum were happily slurping down the Reivers ,Donald ,Methman and MSD Kool-aid.This place can be vicious at times if you dont follow the prevailing trend and dare question the anointed..

can u imagine that 2nd interview with him.... "so roy, you will need to work under a director of football, we don't really know who owns the club, the pitch is shit but we can't do anything with it, you have no money to spend..... do you want the job"

If you read the posts mate, which is a big ask, I know, you will find that
You're wrong,
You're right,
You're wrong again,
You're right again etc etc, etc.

But ultimately mate, you're wrong.🤣🤣🤣

Peak Sunderland that at the point they’ve decided on someone no one wants they get it finalized in a matter of hours.

The mess they have managed to make of things from how we were all feeling last Saturday morning until now is astounding really. You’d think they were trying to fuck it all up if you didn’t know better.

If we had a mag running the club it couldnt have been much worse.

Some fair points.

I would add he saw the charlatans running the club and thought it wasnt a good career move to work with Speakman and Dodds.

He quit the first time, he’s toyed with us on TV in the last few days and he’s turned us down. That leaves a bitter taste with me.

He goes on about punditry being the easy option. Well, he’s chosen it here. He’ll probably never manage again.

I think your right. People talk about Johnson having an ego.... Keano is off the scale. We have chase him, lauded him, rolled out the red carpet for the guy who would manage us in non league by all accounts.
Iam sure he understands that non league football comes with constraints, so does First Division, it’s all relevant. Paying big names big money for little return pretty much bankrupt us before and that was with EPL and Shorts money.
To much like hard work for to little money is my conclusion
Incredible that the Club have managed to fuck up this opportunity. It's beyond incompetence, and well in to the realm of negligence.

You must know a lot more than anyone else on here, the consensus being we can only guess, but you seem sure?
