They’re not

How is this all the clubs fault?

Ah there we are.
Keane not coming? Not the club's fault necessarily you can't make him sign.

Like I said, I'd rather have someone who really wanted the job and wanted to be here, than someone who didn't really want to be here.

Incredible that the Club have managed to fuck up this opportunity. It's beyond incompetence, and well in to the realm of negligence.

Let Keane stick to the easy job of sitting in a studio criticizing managers decisions and players performances.

He's been offered the chance to manage a huge club with incredible support still in with a decent shout of promotion and he's bottled it

I’ve no doubt we made mistakes

Not suggesting we haven’t.

But no job is perfect like. Sorry but Keane talks the talk but at the end of the day after 13 years out of management he doesn’t wanna take a leap of faith

Totally agree yeah mate

Specifically on the keane thing though, he has bottled it.
I'll be very surprised if we ever get the full story of the last week or so. We will all probably pick a side and stick with it until we know better.
For what it's worth, I am convinced that if the club had been more professional in dealing with this, and had a real commitment to success, or at least trying to get success, he would be our manager now.
I think if anyone "bottled it", it was our board and senior management.

Then we agree?

I think we can make some educated guesses. That interview by Speakman is one of the bleakest moments in our history. A weird little nerd putting his own job ahead of the best thing for the club. The man is a coward and I can’t wait to see him shown up and for his career to fall apart….I’m just sad we will be the club who suffers because of it:
I think the fella is getting of very lightly. Could it be that KLD has been completely taken in by him and can't see what appears obvious to everybody else? I.e. all of the bad decisions leading up to the 6-0 and the squad depletions were his responsibility. Johnson may have had his faults, but he's looking more and more like the fall guy here.

Do you know what terms were offered to him?

Well we will agree to disagree

If that was true it sums up why keane will never manage again

The majority of clubs in England go from crisis to crisis each year and most jobs available are those at the bottom

You’ll rarely get offered a job like Sunderland where you will be adored by so many fans

I can’t see him managing again now like

He’s in his comfort zone

I'm not seeing many facts to back up the outrage, just assumptions. Keane has allegedly turned the job down twice in the past four years nows, sorry like, but why would we want him if that's the case?

Perhaps the terms and conditions he has been offered or the working environment isn’t to his standards.

Wait and see what comes out in the wash but I’d be amazed if it’s him turning it down without good reason.

He’s always got a reason

That’s the point

That’s why he hasn’t managed in 13 years

He’s not a bloke in demand in the slightest, people forget that

I haven't seen sky yet but has there been any confirmation that he's turned it down or is it all just rumour from the athletic?
