Not Roy Keane

I feel for the next manager . Usually a club is full of positivity when a new man walks in , this time they will be facing animosity from the start .

Not just that. The last manager seemingly wasn't unpopular with the players, hence the lack of a bounce when he was sacked. Normally a new manager can ride a wave for a while but not this time by the looks of it.

Not fussed mate? I think Keane would have galvanised the fans, but there are questions around his management style. I don't know who I want really, but names like Neil, Lennon and McCann don't excite me at all.
Spot on mate. Think they messed him about and in a Keane like way he decided to say stuff it. If they were going to offer him the job , should have done so a week ago. Agree about you saying about his style, just seemed the best option out of a bad bunch. God help us now-whole thing just another anti-climax in a typical SAFC way.

Moving back to Sunderland soon after 35 years and was looking forward to buying a season ticket. I think that idea is out of the window now

Sadly Roy was never likely to come.High wage demand, wad of wanted a big budget, won't relocate,On a plus side for him he's let other clubs know he's available for work.

I wasn't really trilled about Keane coming back but it was the best option on the table by far. The 'feel good factor' might have been enough to get us promoted. TBH, I think we messed him about. I think he wanted the job.

I feel deflated now.
