Not Roy Keane

I'm fine with this. I don't think we should look back. Anyway, I couldn't see much substance in the argument which goes, broadly, 'get Keano in. He'll sort them out'.

I'm not sure why McCann is getting such bad press here? What has he done wrong? OK, he's not Roy Keane and he's got a nose like Brucie's, but he won this league with Hull last season. He'd be an absolute hero if he repeated that performance here. It doesn't matter what style of football we play as long as we win promotion and get out of this league, surely?
He is just another cheap option to come in until he gets binned off for being shit mate. Buy poorly , pay twice.

I get that you're a numbers man but If you don't get "emotionally invested" in football what's the fuc*ing point.

I get involved in supporting on a matchday, trust me. I just don't think that Roy Keane returning is like the second coming of Christ. Maybe some of it is living here in Bristol, and being out of the madhouse, if you see what I mean. It's also something that's happened since my stroke - not letting things get to me as much as I can.

Looks like Keane has thought on it overnight, weighed up their offer and words and pulled the plug this morning.

For a man desperate for the job, fuck knows what’s been offered or said

They probably have ballsed it up with contract length or something but how is Keane turning it down the owners DOF fault?

They did what the majority wanted them to do, offered it to Keane who said he wanted it, he turned it down.

Goes back to what I said the other day "the contract has to be right" to me sounds like he knew he had their bslls in his hand and could demand whatever he wanted.

Oh well. Better get the fence built and the painting and garden finished. No football stuff to get in my way anymore. Our lass will be owa the knot.

If Keane had taken the job this time round, he may have been a good manager or he may not. But at least he would have injected some momentum back into the team
