Norway for the World Cup?

They’ve got insane squad depth. On Ronaldo, I agree

Goalkeepers: Diogo Costa (Porto), Jose Sa (Wolves), Rui Silva (Sporting), Ricardo Velho (Genclerbirligi).

Defenders: Diogo Dalot (Manchester United), Matheus Nunes (Manchester City), Ruben Dias (Manchester City), Nelson Semedo (Fenerbahce), Joao Cancelo (Barcelona), Nuno Mendes (Paris St-Germain), Goncalo Inacio (Sporting), Renato Veiga (Villarreal), Tomas Araujo (Benfica).

Midfielders: Ruben Neves (Al-Hilal), Samu Costa (Mallorca), Joao Neves (Paris St-Germain), Vitinha (Paris St-Germain), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), Bernardo Silva (Manchester City).

Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo (Al-Nassr), Joao Felix (Al-Nassr), Francisco Trincao (Sporting), Francisco Conceicao (Juventus), Pedro Neto (Chelsea), Rafael Leao (AC Milan), Goncalo Guedes (Real Sociedad), Goncalo Ramos (Paris St-Germain).
Does Ronaldo start for them these days?

Getting back to the OP, looks like there's a decent chance we could play them in the round of 32.

I've filled in a predictor this morning with 1-0s and 1-1s, and for all the group stage looks an absolute slog for the neutral, it does set up a pretty tasty looking last 16.

Agree re Portugal
They have an immense midfield and quite a tight defence
Their Achilles heel will be the influence of Ronaldo and his ego
Wouldnt discount Argentina
This. Ronaldo and more so Roberto Martinez for me will prevent Portugal from winning it this year. On paper though they look a very good team.

France or Spain for me as the winner. Dark horses for a good tournament could be Ivory Coast and Japan.

There's only 3 possible winners for me - Spain, France or Portugal. The last Semi Finalist will be England, Brazil or Argentina.

If you look at the depth of those 3, I don't get any kind of argument for anyone else.

"Dark Horses" as such will just be teams who might get to a QF that nobody necessarily expected such as Ecuador and Switzerland.
