Northeast chooses Hampshire

Sam Northeast has eventually chosen to sign for Hampshire after being told by Kent he can leave with a year left on his contract. Apparently 8 counties where in for him.
A very handy signing for Hampshire at the age of 28 should be in his prime. Nice to see he did not decide to go to Surrey.

Good player but probably hasn't fulfilled his potential from when he first came on the scene, looked a England player in the waiting as a youngster.

odd one that, kent letting him go.

would have loved to see him here, has the name and captaincy experience, though i've no idea how good a captain he was

Indeed Voice, came on the scene about the same time as Stokesy, hasn't really kicked on - mind I would've had him at Durham.

I was a bit worried as to what to expect when reading the title of this thread. Especially as it was the Hampshire chairman who didn't think Durham had been punished enough by the FTMCC ....... bit of a relief really ......
