North Stand extension

If you put it up to a vote involving a large pool of football fans, I'd say the vast majority would say clubs such as Newcastle and Leeds are bigger than Sunderland. Only really Sunderland fans would disagree

Newcastle almost certainly. Leeds, definitely not until the last few years. They were the forgotten team.

Fans basically just go on the last few years.

And reidy wasted absolutely millions on complete dross in his final couple of years. Hats off to Bob for putting the money into something of legacy 👏

Approx figures wasted:
Leslandres 5m
Nunez 2.5m (the wrong player?)
Chocolate fireguard aka Carsten fredguard 2.5m
Tore Andre flo 8m
Medina 2m
Burnt hass 2.5m
...and plenty more. Could have extended the south stand too with all that cash.

These lot mentioned above either didn't play, or were absolutely miles off the pace, or flo's case simply couldn't be bothered
Nearly twenty three million, should have got two maybe three quality players for that

Back to being a Leeds fan again are we, the Dutch Sunderland fan from London who really supports Leeds but ultimately is a mag?

He's been on here for years with numerous different usernames and pretending to support a few different clubs. He's been a Liverpool, Man City, German national team fan amongst others. Sad as fuck, proper weird behaviour.

Leeds!? In what capacity?!

Only Skyboys would say the Mags

Murray refused to spend when we needed to, predicting the whole big spending Prem structure thing to come crashing down, then spent a load a couple of years later, when some clubs were crashing badly.

Cost nearly as much to extend the north stand as it did the full ground

I remember going to a reserve game when the roof was off and got soaked. Might have been Milton Nunez debut
I was a season ticket holder with a seat at the back. We were given waterproof ponchos for one game IIRC.

We’ve had over 42,000 8 times in the past 12 months. I think 49,000 is fine.
It was done for next to nowt and has probably repayd it's cost over and over. Not to mention concerts, international games etc etc. it also means the majority who really wanna see us can which those up the road will soon see when all the plastic tourist completely takeover isn't always a guarante.

They spent longer outside of the premier League than us FFS and their golden age in reality they didn't win a whole lot. Given the size of the city of Leeds double the size of the city of Sunderland their crowds ain't anything special.

In terms of traditionallyband historically, in what capacity.

John Hall's propaganda was certainly far reaching wasn't it. Ffs.

Leeds is debatable like. They sit in 11th place in the all time average attendance table and we are in 12th. But they weren't formed until much later than us and football was already very popular by then.

My understanding has always been that we sit 10th in the overall average attendances.

Debatable in what way?
Leeds are behind Sunderland in every criteria you can think of

Proper downtrodden breed the Mackems.

Its all debatable tbh but I don't know a lot of people who would disagree with what I've said. Maybe older generations may disagree but I would just argue that Leeds are a bigger brand that Sunderland. Not by a lot but just my opinion

Record attendences
Sunderland 7th, 75k
Leeds 22nd, 57k (just above Hull)
Quite a few mags I know can’t afford season tickets now .
They'll be pleased. They're a fan base whose only real pride is that their tickets cost more than Sunderland's
Odd
