Nordi

I’m not sure how to put this but for me he’s probably the highest quality player at the club, for playing ability that is. Yes Xhaka is more important to the team because of leadership & organisation but I think Nordi is the better player. It was Palace away when I realised we’d somehow bagged an elite player for relative peanuts.

He's probably the player in our squad who could hold his own in any Prem first 11. You could argue Xhaka as well.

I'd have Mukiele, Reinildo, Xhaka, Le Fee

I reckon Sadiki goes in if he stays another year. Roefs the same if he continues being class.

Ballard isn't far off in my lifetime. Going since 2000.
Ballard is not even in the greatest Sunderland XI this season..

Never mind ever.

IMHO.

And he has been absolutely bloody brilliant all season.

I’ve been saying for most of the season, he’s good enough to be a starting CB for any club in the division. I’m not so sure ho would as a RB though.

It's difficult making a case for many of our past players getting in this team.

We've had a few strikers and attacking players that would (Defoe, Phillips, Sess, Steed) but would struggle to fit any midfielders, defenders or keepers in over the current lot.
Were Sess or Steed as No 10s better than Le Fee? I don’t think so

I’ve been going since 1976, and I would have those top 4 in mine

Class player. Can't decide if he's better at CB or RB

I think we are better if he’s at CB
No way Steed or Sess get anywhere near, for me. Both were one good game in four players with zero end product. Sess, especially always flattered to deceive.

Not my recollection of Steed.
The amount of the ball he saw in a game was crazy … he was really consistent and disciplined

It’s mental that we’ve got a defender as good as he is. It’s even more mental that at the same time we’ve got defenders as good as Ballard and alderete
