There were only probably a dozen or so throwing stuff so I'm not condemning all that were there, but it did happen. The police were straight in to get the flag off the Grimsby lads which calmed it down but they didn't do anything to get the ones that had thrown stuff. As I say a bottle or glass landed feet from the missus as we were right next to them when they got the flag out so we walked away pretty quickly and went up to the top where it was a bit calmer.

Not one comment about bottle throwing on the TA forum, having had a look there's people on there moaning about a bloke with a Raith rovers rucksack. Like I said it's very self policed, no club colours, no arguing, no team flags, no sectarianism. I've been to over 60 away games and have never heard of any bottle throwing by Scottish fans.
Scotland fans are harder on themselves if there is any scent of trouble.

The Scottish bloke on the cover of all the papers with the football in the fountain was really hard done by. A friend of mine was there and he said all he did was retrieve the football and took off his trousers so they wouldn't get wet.

But the papers are trying to make out he was a hooligan playing football naked there

Heard that too but I think there's was one or two idiots that went in kilted up. Footballs should burst when in a public square, seen many a beer spilt

Blokes in pink turning hard is more for Clapham Common than Trafalgar Square

so which bit of his post is lies?

The bottle throwing is yet to be proven ;)

Was at both and I think they we're equally good.

Trafalgar square shocked me to some degree as I was younger and totally didn't expect the scale and the carnage.

Against City we all knew what was coming but it was in a different place and equally impressive.

It happened - must have been about a dozen thrown. Just because it wasn't on a bloody message board doesn't mean it didn't happen. And wtf does self-policing mean?:lol:

@Wearside Wanderer II ooof ya fucka. Apology due?

No problem pal, deepest apologies for the fuckwits who done that, pleased no one was hurt. There is no place for wankers like that in our support. I shall endeavour to buy you a beer in Glasgow.

Fuckin pricks
I've posted that link on the TA board, see what people say...

I would have had no problem if the bottles had hit the Grimsby lads, they were obviously looking for it, but there were loads of tourists standing watching the Jocks and they landed amongst them. Mind it was over in seconds and I never saw any other bother all day.

Like I said I have posted it on the TA, see if anyone has seen it, there is nothing on there about it at all, numerous other stuff like. If the responses are of any interest I will c&p it into here. Apologies again ;)

Trafalgar the night before the playoff final was best. Absolute mayhem.
Absolutely brilliant night. I was last down off the fountain where I'd encountered a very friendly young lady!
Ticket for the match was in my wallet and nearly didn't get in as it was virtually unrecognisable. The lad on the turnstile asked what had happened to it and it turned out he'd been stood watching us all the night before.
Didn't someone fall off one of the lions and badly hurt themselves?

Chesterfield bastard squad -v- blades business crew.

Tasty....robocops in view today.

Got chased at Chesterfield during our one season in the 3rd division; walking to the ground with my scarf not fully covered.

Seem to remember after the match trouble all over the place with police sirens going off all over. Small team with a nasty element; like plenty of League 1 and 2 teams.

Remember reading about the Soul Crew coming unstuck at the hands of the CBS; underestimated them apparently.

After a good weekend in the FA Vase it League Cup week.

Some decent fixtures which will produce a lot of goals. Durham V Chester Le Street, Derby?

I will be at South Shields V Blyth Town hoping for a comfortable home win.

Which fixture will you be attending?
