Unsure if you're having a dig but it's a bit unfair to claim North Shields are unambitious. It'd be more correct to claim you couldn't blame him for choosing a more affluent club. Nothing wrong with that of course but it's not North Shields lack of ambition that has caused this.
As you know from previous posts, I've no love for NS but the fact they've won the Vase and Northumberland challenge cup in recent years is testament to the ambition they've shown in recent years.

Wasnt a dig mate, won the vase won the senior cup and n shields wont take promotion so done all he can with them . he will want to try himself at the hghest level he can and s shields will hopefully allow him to do that

No thought that's what you meant mate. Like you say and I fully agree, Fenton will see this as a great opportunity to move up pyramid which NS won't be able to do due to finances. I know they've just spent a few quid rebuilding new clubhouse but promotion would be a bridge too far
