Good win for the team yesterday. Good crowd as well. Good to see celebrity fan Ray Spencer in the Joe McEldery Paddock as well.

Hello mate. Welcome to the non league section of the forum. Great post, hope to see more in the future! 80 seems a low crowd for vase tie on international weekend mind? Southerners obviously aren't as interested in grassroots as us!

i was talking about a few years back not now, and i would prefer a crowd of 80 than the non league you are referring to, the further down the pyramid the more i prefer it

Almost went to Dartford v St Albans during the week.
Been to see Welling a couple of times recently. Theyre sliding away now.
Leyton used to see a couple of times a year. Ditto Hastings, whose ground is one of the nicest in Southern England.

£12-15 a game for Conf/Conf South football is outrageous though.

i wouldnt go to conference really, i prefer the lower leagues, you get so many characters and no crowds its great stuff

Yep you are really showing the forum that you don't give a fuck, all these replies on a Shields thread really emphasise that. Well done, you win.
Tbh the pair of you seem to be having a melt-off.

That said, this is a pure football forum so I don't see the problem with the shields posts, albeit I don't really give a fuck about shields.

Or at least no more than I check out the results of other local lower league clubs like Blyth Spartans, Hartlepool, Darlington or Newcastle.

Covent Garden was class but a nightmare to get a drink. We had to head back towards Trafalgar to get one, with a load of Sunderland whizzing past on Rickshaws, singing constantly.
Trafalgar was even better though, bumped into Zammo from Grange Hill in a boozer up the road. Nice fella, I seem to remember.

But didn't two years back when they were playing at Peterlee in front of me, ten others and a dog. No threads on here about them then?

In other news, the North East's premier non league club who are currently 4 divisions ahead of South Shields and not eligible to play in a competition as low as the vase, beat Dagenham and Redbridge away 5-0 and have now won 4 and drawn 2 of their last 6 league games.
bitter man

Ahem and you posted on it as well

The final will be between 2 of these teams ??

Can't see how people have a go at the n shields chairman, the team has done great in the last few years.
He's an arrogant bastard. He does absolutely nothing to embrace the support. A plank of wood has more personality. I genuinely believe he'd rather NS were back playing in front of 4 men and a dog. Surrounds himself with his own cronies and has suggested that if someone came along to invest in the club he would say no. He was asked last week "if a major investor came forward to put ££ into the club would they be given a place on the committee?" His answer "NO" You get a strong feeling NS have done as well despite him not because of him.
