Yeah, scrap replays. But maybe have a a rule that if it's a draw at full time, it only goes to extra time and maybe penalties if the two teams are in the same division. Otherwise lower league team goes through.
 
Don’t know why the league cup was originally invented.

I know it was 1960/61 but I don’t o ow why it was created as the FA cup was already the main cup.

It’s actually worse for the big 6. They have to win something or be seen as a failure. Less cups means it’s harder to win anything.

Them years Liverpool only won the league cup are gone now

fair enough. I'm just not one for sticking my finger in a dyke.

The overseas fixtures wouldn't be for UK supporters of the clubs. They would be an opportunity for foreign supporters to see the EPL teams they support in competitive action, it's not like UK supporters turn out en masse to League Cup games anyway. Now that might sound abhorrent to many but surely we're passed the stage where you can only support a club if you we're born within certain catchment areas? Who's to say a kid from Malaysia isn't entitled to support an EPL club any less than a kid born within a couple of miles of the stadium?

Whether we like it or not, all the good things we enjoy about football in 2022, better stadiums, much much better pitches, higher standard of players are all as a result of the commercialism of the game. At the cost of the game being totally obscene and littered with despot owners and over paid cretins but it's like any business. If you don't do it your competitors will. NFL and NBA are already at it. Pandora's box was opened many years ago I don't see there being any reset and the clubs belonging to the local communities they serve. Money talks.

I agree it would be much better in principle. The only issue is what happens when the winner and runner up are already on the champions league (increasingly common) or uefa cup. Who enters the cup winners cup

The CWC wasn't a bad competition in its day but this Europa Conference League is just awful. It just does not excite me at all.
 
Not good, teams from lower leagues will miss out on some big pay days due to this.

Never understood why they dont have something in place before the game that if both agree to finish on the day they can
 
Dont agree with that. A small club getting a massive club to a replay can tide them, and indeed their town over for a while with all the extras coming in

Edit also it may be only chance someone gets to ever see world class players in person. You cant afford to go see Man City at their prices but them on your local ground. Ridiculous decision
